The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Lego Group. Interview The manager was very friendly and down to earth. A little intimidating, as all managers are. He was very direct with the questions. He straight up told me the salary and if I was okay with that. He then told me he'll contact me to let me know if I was hired. I thanked him for his time and that I enjoyed having a conversation with him. He made me feel very comfortable. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lego Group (West Hartford, CT) in April 2014. Interview It was like a walk-in interview. I came in and they asked me basically about what's my favorite thing about customer service, and a couple of other things I don't remember. It was pretty chill and laid back basically and they ask you what your favorite lego set is. Interview Questions Answer Question Mar 9, 2014 Interview Application I applied online. Interview It was job fair style - the usual questions done as a quick one on one with a district manager, and then a group interview of 3 prospective employees with manager and assistant. Just be perky and happy - it's a children's store. They want to hear that you're good with kids and that you love selling. This job totally sucked. Not worth it unless you're like my co-workers who spent more than their entire paycheck buying lego. one perk is 25% off all lego and 2 or 4 times a year 50% off for employees. that's about as much as they'll care about you though. Interview Questions Answer Question Negotiation no negotiations - you either accept their terms or find another job. Mar 11, 2016 Interview Application I applied in-person. Interview Not stressful at all. Was my first interview ever and the process was very formal. Seemed like they were reading off a scripted interview with the same questions on it. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Lego Group (Glasgow, Scotland (UK)) in March 2016. Interview I saw the role advertised in the window of the store and passed a CV onto a greeter, who asked about my availability and if I had retail experience. A few days later I received a call inviting me to an interview. As the store was quiet at the time and I arrived early, I got to chat to the store manager beforehand, though my interview was with two supervisors (who told me there would be a second interview with the store manager if I got past this stage). They were very friendly and keen to make sure I was comfortable. When I stumbled on a question and asked to come back to it, they suggested a different way to approach it if I couldn't think of an exact example ("describe a time you received bad customer service").I ended up not getting to the second stage, but they called up the same day and offered feedback before I had to ask for it. The feedback was that my confidence levels weren't quite there (while I felt comfortable and like I had made a good impression, they had stated in the interview that personality is what they look for and I can imagine their standards are high) and that they were worried about my current part-time job impacting on my availability.
The role I applied for was only a 10 hour contract, but they were seeking someone who could do a lot of overtime and be available to cover shifts with same-day notice.
