LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Tease Trailer Announce #1 Droid Tales Mini-Series Trailer Introducing LEGO® Star Wars™ Buildable Figures‘LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Trailer: Build, Fly and Blast Through the GalaxyPosted on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 by Ethan AndertonBack in February, we got word from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm that LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens was coming to video game consoles this summer. The first trailer delivered an amusing spoof of the first teaser trailer for the movie, and now a new gameplay trailer shows how the movie has been spiced up a bit with some trademark LEGO goofiness, not to mention the cool game modes available to be played.Watch the new LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer after the jump. Here’s a breakdown of the game features that haven’t been used in LEGO Star Wars video games before:Blaster Battles – Players can now engage in intense Blaster Battles, seeking cover behind nearby objects and structures, which is a first for a LEGO game.

Characters can then pop out from the safety of cover to fight enemies with blaster fire.Multi-Builds – The enhanced Multi-Builds system allows players to choose from multiple building options to solve a puzzle and advance the game in different ways. For the first time, the same pile of LEGO bricks can be used in multiple ways, with the player building and re-building different objects for different purposes.Flight Gameplay – Experience the thrill of high-speed, action-packed flight gameplay like never before, piloting iconic vehicles (including the legendary Millennium Falcon) through arena-based battles and dogfights in space. Some of the gameplay reminds me of a LEGO version of the Nintendo 64 games like Rogue Squadron or Shadows of the Empire, and there are shades of Rebel Assault in there as well. The flight gameplay is easily my favorite part of this trailer, though it doesn’t look remarkably different from the same type of play on Star Wars Battlefront. In addition, the game promises to offer more insight into certain details in The Force Awakens, such as the character of Lor San Tekka, played by iconic actor Max Von Sydow.

And even though he meets his end in this game as he does in the movie, the method that Kylo Ren uses to dispatch with him is a little less gruesome. This looks like it’ll be a lot of fun to play when it hits shelves in June. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS with a deluxe edition also available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that comes with an exclusive LEGO Finn minifigure and a season pass for DLC. In addition, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions will get access to exclusive downloadable content, the Droid Character Pack and the Phantom Limb Level Pack.LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes players deeper into the new film than any other game with all of the heroic characters from the movie, including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and BB-8, as well as Kylo Ren, General Hux and Captain Phasma, while also exploring iconic Star Wars locales, such as Jakku and Starkiller Base. This action-packed adventure introduces new gameplay features, including the enhanced “Multi-Builds” system, where players can choose from multiple building options to advance the game.

Gamers will be able to engage in intense new Blaster Battles for the first time, utilizing surrounding environments to drive back the First Order. Fans can also experience the thrill of high-speed flight gameplay through arena-based battles and dogfights in space, while utilizing a multitude of vehicles along the way, including the legendary Millennium Falcon.LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits shelves on June 28.
