3 Doors Down Bassist Todd Harrell Partners with Cancer Charity After Bandmate’s Battle

BILOXI, MS – Rock band 3 Doors Down is using their platform to fight cancer after their longtime guitarist, Chris Henderson, successfully overcame a recent diagnosis. The band has announced a partnership with the American Cancer Society for a new initiative called '3 Doors Down Cancer', aimed at raising funds and awareness for cancer research.

Henderson, who has been with the band since its early days, revealed his diagnosis earlier this year but kept details private while undergoing treatment. Now in remission, he shared his gratitude for the support from fans and bandmates.

'Cancer is a fight no one should face alone,' Henderson said in a statement. 'We want to help others get the same chance I had.'

The band will kick off the campaign with a benefit concert in their hometown of Biloxi, Mississippi, with proceeds going toward cancer research and patient support programs. Additionally, they plan to auction off memorabilia, including signed guitars and VIP tour experiences.

Bassist Todd Harrell, who has also faced personal health struggles in the past, emphasized the importance of giving back. 'Music heals, but so does action. This is our way of standing with those fighting this disease.'
