The iMe team, taking advantage of these benefits from Telegram, is improving the current functionality for greater user-friendliness, and also develops and adds its own features.

iMe includes all the functionality of Telegram with the addition of its own developments and technologies. Such as integrated Artificial Intelligence in the form of Neurobots and Crypto wallets, as well as various conveniences in the form of Topics, as an alternative to Telegram folders, the built-in Google Translator in chats, a functional Cloud with Albums, advanced folder capabilities and many other tools and settings.

User authorization, data transmission and storage occurs through Telegram servers.

Privacy and security are fully ensured by the Telegram platform.

The overall functionality of Telegram and iMe is fully synchronized, since has one server part. Those. all your contacts, chats with correspondence, groups, channels and bots are displayed in the same way both in Telegram and in iMe.

With iMe, just like with Telegram, you can send messages, photos, videos and files of any type (doc, zip, mp3, etc.), as well as create groups or channels to broadcast to an unlimited audience. You can record contacts on your phone and find people by their names. As a result, iMe is similar to SMS and email, and can take care of all your personal or business messaging needs. In addition to this, we support end-to-end encrypted voice calls and video calls.

Supported platforms

At the moment iMe is available for iOS and Android platforms and is available for download in the App Store and Google Play.

At the same time, the development of the Android Wallet has progressed further compared to iOS. There are objective reasons for this in the complexity of integration with Telegram for iOS.

A Desktop version is planned for the future.

Open source

iMe is built on the open source Telegram with the addition of its own development code. Interaction with the server side takes place through the Telegram API.

We periodically update our code as Telegram sources are released and updated in iMe. After the completion of the main development stage, we will publish the updated sources more often, with each update.

Does iMe transmit user data anywhere? Or does it have any access to it?

No, it doesn’t! We don’t have access to any users’ data including names, phone numbers, conversations, do not store and transmit it anywhere.

It is because:

First, this violates the terms of Telegram’s open-source code use;
Second, this data is stored on Telegram’s servers and we don’t have access to them;
Third, it doesn’t make sense to replicate Telegram servers, to assume this expensive burden to store billiards of users’ conversations, heavy media files, etc;
Fourth, what should we do with this data? Why do we need it?
Fifth, iMe is a long-term project with specific purposes and much effort and funds are allocated for its development by this moment. That’s why reputation is in the first place for us.

Does iMe communicate with any other servers besides Telegram servers?

Yes, in addition to Telegram servers, the application accesses Google servers for Firebase and Cloud Translation services.

This is necessary for some integrated functionality to work.

Our Neurobots are hosted on Google servers, from where they are downloaded by users, if desired, but in the future Neurobots work locally on the device, even in airplane mode.

Also, we use the Cloud Translation API from the Cloud Google Platform to integrate a translator in chats, convert voice to text, text from photo functions, etc. The Google servers are contacted only at the time of using this functionality.

As a result, only the functionality developed and integrated by us, which is not directly related to Telegram, to user data and does not work on Telegram servers due to technical restrictions, has a connection with the Cloud Google Platform servers.

In Telegram, these options are quite far away or are completely absent. If you do not need these options and 3 dots interfere in the toolbar, then you can disable them.

In Telegram, many of the navigation and control buttons in chats are hidden quite deep. For example, the same search in chat is located in 3 points and it takes 2 clicks to activate it.

With the multi-panel you can use many buttons in 1 click. For example, buttons such as notifications, members, shared content, clearing the cache for this chat, search, recent activities for admins.

The multipanel can be flexibly configured for different types of chats, select the necessary buttons and arrange their location on the panel.

To quickly go to the multi-panel settings, press and hold any icon on the panel in the chat.

Calls

When this option is enabled, confirmation will be issued before starting a call or video call. This protects against an accidental call, since in Telegram, the connection starts immediately when you press the call button.

Delete Cloud Chat

When this option is enabled, warnings will be issued to confirm deleting or clearing your Cloud chat. In confirmation, you must pass a conscientiousness check, entering numbers from 0 to 9. This protects against accidental deletion of the most important chat from the user.

Multi-forward messages without author

Standard sending to Telegram does not provide the ability to disable the author or other data.

iMe has advanced forwarding, where you can disable the author of messages, delete text or media, and also disable the preview of forwarded messages if they contain links. Also, the forwarding screen interface has chats sorting and the ability to switch between the main chat list and the archived one.
