The feature, which generates AI-written summaries of news articles after users swipe on their screens, is accused of infringing on NYT’s copyrighted material without permission.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court, claims that the AI tool effectively 'scrapes and repurposes' Times articles, violating intellectual property laws.
