Let's move on to the tests. The first step is to check the navigation of the Lefant M201 in the obstacle room. Let me remind you that this robot vacuum cleaner is oriented in space only due to sensors, there is no gyroscope on board.
Navigation is chaotic. The robot passes several times in those places where it has already cleaned. Combines perimeter cleaning with random driveways. He did not get stuck on the dryer, and of course he did not sweep around the box and chair legs by itself. The Lefant M201 does not automatically end the cleaning mode, so I had to forcibly return it to the base for charging. He found the base without any problems, at least this is a plus.
As for navigation within several rooms, the situation is similar - movement is chaotic. The robot is sent to the base only when it is discharged.
In general, it has no navigation, but at least it has fall protection sensors and obstacle detection sensors. Therefore, the robot does not hit the furniture hard. Well, it is important to note that even with this movement algorithm, he managed to collect a lot of garbage, although in the initial state the apartment was clean. Therefore, for its money, the robot is able to maintain cleanliness in small areas. This is great!
Suction power
The suction power is good. The robot is able to suck out debris from slots up to 8 mm deep. This is a good result for robotic vacuum cleaners without a turbo brush. So the 1800 Pa set by the manufacturer is very similar to the truth, the engine is not weak.
Dry cleaning on laminate
The quality of dry cleaning on laminate flooring is average. The Lefant M201 does not sweep in corners, like most other round robots, but the bulk of the debris has been collected. There is only a little debris left along the baseboard.
Cleaning the carpet
But due to the lack of a central brush, this robot is not able to efficiently collect garbage on carpets. He drives into them and moves freely, but cleans poorly, this should be taken into account.
Passage of obstacles
