Let's see how the robot is arranged from below. We see as many as 6 fall protection sensors. Side brush, three-beam, quick-detachable. A bristly-petal turbo brush is installed in the center, which can be disassembled on both sides to clean it from coiled hair and wool. This is a plus.

And of course, you can set virtual walls and forbidden zones on the map, and for the wet cleaning mode, you can set separate forbidden zones that will not be active during dry cleaning, this is a plus.

In general, the Dreame D9 has all the necessary functions, and in addition, this robot vacuum cleaner is even controlled through Voice Control. However, in the appendix I did not find manual control of the robot, this is a small, but still a comment to it.

Navigation

Let's move on to the tests. The first step is to check the navigation of the Dreame D9 in the obstacle room. First, the robot vacuum cleaner goes through the entire available area with a snake. He had a little difficulty driving through the dryer legs, but the robot did not get stuck and continued the cleaning cycle. After walking around the perimeter, the robot began cleaning the entire available area with a snake. He swept around all the chair legs and around the box, which is a plus. After that, Dreame D9 again went through the perimeter and started cleaning with a snake perpendicular to the original passage. Double pass improves cleaning performance. After completing the repeated passage, the robot returned to the base. The test was passed successfully, there are no complaints about navigation in difficult conditions.

As for cleaning the entire area of ​​the house, after the introductory drive and building a map, the robot automatically zoned the room into rooms and, on subsequent launches, it cleans the entire available area, room by room, first walking along the walls, and then with a snake. For cleaning available to him 31 sq.m. it took only 23 minutes and this is the best result so far.

Dreame D9 cleans faster than analogues without compromising the quality of cleaning, for which it will receive additional points in the final assessment. In general, the navigation of this model is very impressive.

Suction power

The suction power of the Dreame D9 is also good. The robot vacuum cleaner was able to suck out debris from slots up to 4 mm deep. So the suction power of 3000 Pa is really higher than that of most analogues.

Dry cleaning on laminate

Check out how the Dreame D9 handles dry cleaning on hard floors. In addition to wool, hair and dust, at the request of subscribers, we additionally scattered cat food and filler on the floor.

By the way, it is also important to note that thanks to the nozzle installed from below, the robot is able to simultaneously vacuum and wash the floor. This plus!

Passage of obstacles

The Dreame D9's cross-country ability is good, it runs over a two-centimeter nut without any problems.

But the robot vacuum cleaner is afraid of black surfaces, like all other robots of the Xiaomi family. This is important to consider.

Noise level

And finally, we measure the noise level of the Dreame D9 in different modes. At the minimum suction power, the noise level is not higher than 58 dB. At average power, the noise level reaches 63 dB. And at maximum power it does not exceed 68 dB.

In general, the noise level is standard, as for robotic vacuum cleaners. For such a suction power, this is even a plus that the robot is not too noisy.
