Seattle, 2026 – Five Years After Jackson

The overgrown ruins of Seattle are eerily quiet, save for the distant screech of infected. Ellie Williams, now 21, moves through the shadows, her knife gripped tight. Her face is harder, her eyes colder. The fire of revenge that once burned inside her has dimmed—but it hasn’t gone out.

She’s tracking a lead.

A whisper among the WLF deserters speaks of her—Abby Anderson. The woman who took Joel from her. The woman who left her broken.

Ellie finds an abandoned Firefly outpost, its walls covered in faded graffiti. Inside, a single note:

'Gone to Santa Barbara. Looking for the Fireflies. – A.'

Ellie’s jaw tightens. She thought she was done. She tried to be done. But the nightmares won’t stop.

Dina’s voice echoes in her mind: 'If you go after her again, you don’t come back to us.'

Ellie hesitates—then pockets the note.

She heads south.

Santa Barbara – The Rattler Compound

The coastal stronghold is a fortress of brutality. Slavers patrol the walls. Ellie infiltrates, her kills silent but messy. She’s not the same stealthy hunter she once was—she’s angrier, reckless.

Then she sees her.

Abby, emaciated, strung up like an animal. Beaten. Barely alive.

Ellie freezes.

This isn’t the monster from her memories. This is just… a broken woman.

The Rattlers notice her. Gunfire erupts. Ellie fights her way to Abby, cutting her down.

Abby coughs, squinting in the dim light. '…Ellie?'

No words. Just pain. Just exhaustion.

Ellie drags her out, fighting through waves of enemies. They escape to the shore, collapsing near a boat.

Abby gasps, 'Why…?'

Ellie doesn’t answer. Maybe she doesn’t know.

She tosses Abby a knife. 'Get out of here.'

Abby stares, then limps toward the water.

Ellie watches her go.

The weight of it all crashes down. Joel’s voice whispers in her mind: 'It wasn’t for nothing, kiddo.'

She sinks to her knees, staring at her bloody hands.

Alone.

Fade to black.

Post-Credits Scene:

A radio crackles in an empty room. A voice:

'We found her. The immune girl. She’s in Santa Barbara.'

A hand reaches for a rifle.
