The robot is equipped with a gyroscope for navigation, a dry and wet cleaning function, as well as control not only from the remote control, but also through a proprietary mobile application. Next, iLIFE A80 Pro will be reviewed and tested in detail, after which I will express my own opinion whether this robot vacuum cleaner is worth buying. So let's go!
Equipment
Let's start with the bundle. The box contains:
- The robot vacuum cleaner itself with an installed dust collector.
- Charging base.
- Power adapter.
- Operating instructions with a warranty card.
- Water tank with installed microfiber cloth.
- Spare napkin.
- Two spare side brushes.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- Control panel with batteries.
- Brush for cleaning the dust container.

The kit is complete, only a motion limiter in the form of a virtual wall or magnetic tape is missing.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at how the iLIFE A80 PRO works. It is round, black and blue. The height of the case is 8 cm from the floor.

A control panel with a display is located on top of the case:

The dust container can be removed from the back. It holds up to 450 ml of dry waste. A HEPA filter is installed inside. The filtering system in the container itself has a honeycomb structure, like the flagship iLIFE A10s , which was discussed earlier.

Instead of a dust collector, you can install a water tank. It holds 300 ml of water. There is also a small compartment for sweeping dry debris with brushes during wet cleaning. I don’t see the pump inside, but there is a tube that connects to the main unit of the robot. Most likely, the pump is installed in the robot itself, because the application has an electronic adjustment of the water supply. The napkin is attached to the base with Velcro and elastic bands.

Let's turn the robot over and see how it works from below. It has 2 side brushes and a central bristly-petal one. In the central brush, the cap can be removed from one side to remove coiled hair and wool. At the bottom of the front there are 3 fall protection sensors.

In general, the build quality is average, as is the price segment.

Functionality
You can control the iLIFE A80 PRO using a proprietary mobile application, a remote control or buttons on the case. Most of the possibilities become available when controlling from a smartphone.

The application must be downloaded using the QR code in the instructions or on the robot itself, the sticker is located at the bottom. Installation will not cause any inconvenience, you need to act according to the manufacturer's prompts.
In the iLIFE app, the robot builds a map of the room in real time, but does not store it in memory. In the main settings, you can change the name of the robot vacuum cleaner, set up cleaning according to a schedule, view the cleaning history, track the status of consumables, smoothly adjust the suction power, select the level of water supply to the napkin, the cleaning mode, and also enable the function of automatic power increase when driving on carpets ... In addition, you can turn on the search for the robot by a sound signal and reset the settings to the factory settings.

On the main operating panel, you can return the robot to the base for charging, start the automatic cleaning mode and turn on the manual control of the robot vacuum cleaner. With manual control, you can independently direct the iLIFE A80 PRO to the desired place for cleaning, set the maximum suction power, turn on the perimeter cleaning mode, spot, or set up cleaning according to the schedule. These are all the capabilities of the robot.
When controlled from the remote control, you can manually direct the robot vacuum cleaner to the desired place, start and pause the cleaning cycle, select one of three operating modes, forcibly return the robot to the base for charging, adjust the suction power and turn on an additional classic mode, which the manufacturer recommends to use for cleaning on carpets.

In addition, the robot can be controlled by buttons on the body. The control panel provides functions such as setting a schedule, classic cleaning mode, return to base, spot cleaning and starting automatic mode.

Navigation
Let's first test the navigation of the iLIFE A80 PRO in a room with obstacles. The robot goes through the entire available area with a snake. Around the legs of the chair, I did not shake it separately, as well as around the box. I didn’t get stuck on the clothes dryer, but I didn’t shake the perimeter after passing the entire available area. In general, navigation is standard, as for robots with a gyroscope. The device coped with the test.

Let's complicate the task and check how the iLIFE A80 PRO can navigate the area of the whole house. In our case, these are 5 rooms with a total usable area of about 34 sq. M.

At first, when moving from one room to another, the map got lost and began to be built on a new one, but after that the robot was able to completely build the map and go through the entire available area. The map was built with a small error, but the geometry of the rooms is correct. The iLIFE A80 PRO only took 33 minutes to clean, which is a good speed. Yes, and during the tests, it was noticed that the robot moves quickly enough on the floor. This test passed successfully.
Suction power
As for the suction power of the iLIFE A80 PRO, this robot vacuum cleaner is able to suck out debris from slots no more than 2 mm deep, this is quite a standard indicator. Such power will be enough for daily maintenance of cleanliness in the house.

Dry cleaning on laminate
Now let's check how the iLIFE A80 PRO collects debris on the laminate flooring. Wool, hair, cereals and ground coffee were scattered in the corners as an imitation of dust.

After cleaning, the debris remained only in the corners, and this is a normal cleaning quality for round robotic vacuum cleaners. The main part of the debris is collected in the dust collector, part of the hair is wrapped around the side and central brush.
Cleaning the carpet
The same rubbish was scattered on the carpet. And iLIFE A80 PRO cleaned it well enough, there was no wool, hair or small debris left. This robot can be recommended for carpet cleaning.

Wet cleaning
The next test will show if the robot can scrub dirt off the floor. She dried up a little. And you can see that the robot vacuum cleaner is not very good at removing dirt. He still wiped off some of it, but the stand is far from completely cleaned up.

The wet cleaning function implemented in iLIFE A80 PRO is more suitable for delicate cleaning of the floor from dust and light dirt. The tank is large enough to cover the entire cleaning cycle.
Passage of obstacles
The manufacturer declared the passability of no more than 15 mm. Indeed, it is. The robot can move over 10 and 15 mm high lanes. A 20 mm threshold is beyond his power. The permeability is not the best among robots.

Passage of dark surfaces
But the robot is not afraid of dark surfaces, and can move freely on them, not recognizing them as height differences, this is a plus.

Noise level
Finally, let's check the noise level of the iLIFE A80 PRO in different modes. In polishing mode, the noise level is about 56 dB. At the minimum power it reaches 61 dB, and in the maximum mode it does not exceed 68 dB, as stated by the manufacturer. The noise level is standard as for robotic vacuum cleaners.

Summing up
The iLIFE A80 PRO has been reviewed and tested in detail.
Now I will express my own opinion about the iLIFE A80 PRO. I liked that the robot vacuum cleaner builds a map of the room, it is suitable for dry and wet cleaning, there are 3 control options, spare consumables included and good cleaning quality on hard floors and carpets. These advantages will be enough for him to automatically maintain cleanliness in the house. Among the shortcomings, I would like to highlight the not very high quality of wet cleaning, the absence of a movement limiter in the kit, not very good permeability and the fact that it is not able to vacuum and wash the floor at the same time. And so, for your money, an adequate option for a purchase. Moreover, iLIFE specializes in the production of robotic vacuum cleaners and is constantly improving their products.
