BREAKING NEWS: 'THE LAST OF US' SEASON 2 WRAPS FILMING, SETS 2025 RELEASE DATE

Los Angeles, March 30, 2025 – HBO’s critically acclaimed series The Last of Us has officially finished production on its highly anticipated second season, with the network confirming a premiere date in late 2025.

Following the massive success of Season 1, which won multiple Emmys and became one of HBO’s most-watched shows, the adaptation of Naughty Dog’s beloved video game is set to dive into the darker, more intense events of The Last of Us Part II.

Returning and New Faces
Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) will reprise their roles, with new cast members joining the fray, including:

Kaitlyn Dever as Abby Anderson, a pivotal and controversial character from the game.

Young Mazino (Beef) as Jesse, a key member of Ellie’s community.

Isabela Merced (Madame Web) as Dina, Ellie’s love interest.

What to Expect
Showrunner Craig Mazin and game creator Neil Druckmann have teased that Season 2 will expand on the game’s narrative while introducing new twists to surprise even veteran fans.
