Opening Scene:
The episode begins with a cold open—Ellie (Bella Ramsey) sits alone in an abandoned movie theater, flipping through an old comic book by dim candlelight. Act 1: The Weight of Revenge
Picking up from the previous episode’s cliffhanger, Ellie and Dina (Isabela Merced) are still tracking Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) through the ruins of Seattle. Tensions are high—Ellie is consumed by her need for vengeance, while Dina pleads for caution, fearing Ellie is losing herself.

A flashback reveals Joel (Pedro Pascal) teaching a younger Ellie how to track deer in the Wyoming wilderness. His words haunt her: 'Sometimes the hunt ain’t worth what it takes outta you.'

Act 2: The Wolves Close In
Abby, injured and exhausted, is separated from her remaining WLF allies. She takes shelter in an overgrown aquarium, where she discovers a group of desperate refugees—innocent survivors caught in the crossfire of the WLF-Seraphim war. One, a young boy named Eli, reminds her of Owen. Against her instincts, she helps them.

Meanwhile, Ellie and Dina stumble upon a booby-trapped WLF outpost. A brutal ambush leaves Dina wounded, forcing Ellie to choose: chase Abby or save her friend.

Act 3: The Choice
Ellie carries Dina to safety, her hands shaking with rage and guilt. In a quiet moment, Dina whispers, 'This isn’t you.' Ellie doesn’t respond, but her expression cracks—just for a second.

The episode ends with Abby standing at the aquarium’s edge, staring at the ocean, as if considering escape. But when she hears Eli cry out in fear, she turns back—her own cycle of violence interrupted by an unexpected act of mercy.

Final Shot:
Ellie, alone in the rain, clenches her knife. The camera lingers on her face—grief, fury, and doubt warring beneath the surface. Fade to black.
