'The Conners' Renewed for Seventh and Final Season – Emotional Farewell Ahead

Los Angeles, CA – May 15, 2024

Fans of The Conners can rejoice—and prepare for an emotional goodbye. ABC has officially renewed the hit sitcom for a seventh season, which will also serve as its last. The network confirmed that the final chapter of the beloved blue-collar family will consist of 13 episodes, set to air in the 2024-2025 television season.

Since its 2018 debut as a spin-off of Roseanne, The Conners has followed the ups and downs of the working-class Conner family in Lanford, Illinois. The show, starring John Goodman (Dan Conner), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie Harris), Sara Gilbert (Darlene Conner), and Lecy Goranson (Becky Conner), has tackled real-world issues with humor and heart, earning a loyal fanbase.

Executive producer and showrunner Bruce Helford released a statement: 'It’s been an incredible journey bringing the Conner family to life. While we’re sad to say goodbye, we’re excited to give these characters the sendoff they deserve. Expect laughter, tears, and plenty of surprises.'

Speculation is already swirling about how the series will wrap up. Will Dan find lasting happiness? Will Darlene and Becky finally achieve stability? And will fan-favorite characters like DJ (Michael Fishman) or even guest stars from the original Roseanne make appearances?

The final season is set to begin filming this summer, with a premiere expected in fall 2024.

For now, fans can catch up on past seasons on Hulu and brace themselves for one last trip to Lanford.
