Nate Bargatze Announces Surprise Stand-Up Show in Nashville to Support Local Charity

Nashville, TN — April 23, 2025

In a heartwarming move, Grammy-nominated comedian Nate Bargatze surprised fans today by announcing an intimate stand-up performance in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. The show, scheduled for May 10 at the historic Ryman Auditorium, will benefit the Nashville Education Foundation, a local nonprofit supporting underfunded schools.

Bargatze, known for his clean, family-friendly humor and deadpan delivery, shared the news in a low-key Instagram post, writing, 'Figured I’d come home and tell some jokes for a good cause. Plus, my dad said he’d heckle me for free.'

Tickets for the one-night-only event sold out within minutes, with resale platforms already listing seats at triple the face value. However, Bargatze’s team has pledged to crack down on scalpers, re-releasing held-back tickets at the original price of $50.

This isn’t the first time the comedian has given back to his community. In 2023, he quietly funded a renovation of his former high school’s auditorium. 'Nate’s the kind of guy who’d rather make a difference than a headline,' said a foundation spokesperson.

Fans are speculating whether new material from Bargatze’s upcoming Netflix special, rumored to tape later this year, will debut at the show. Either way, Nashville is ready to laugh—and donate.
