[on the public's perception of why women go into porn] People think you are in this industry because you have to be . . . not because you can and choose to do so.

I am a massage therapist with 15 years of experience. I am especially interested in crystals, energy healing, numerology, and wellness.
Read on to learn how to use cinnamon for protection.
Herbs, spices, crystals, and now cinnamon can protect me and my home? Yes, the common spice used in many a baked dish or tea for that cozy warm smelling aroma is also good for your general protection. You might say, "Well just what kind of protection can cinnamon give me?" and, "How am I supposed to use this magical spice to defend my personal space?"
For those answers and more we will have to look back hundreds maybe even a thousand years because our great ancestors have used spices and common herbs found in our gardens for just about everything that we would normally go to the corner drug store for some relief or magical remedy. As a matter of fact, cinnamon has shown just now in recent research to contain properties that can kill bacteria and other micro-organisms that are dangerous to our health.
This would give credit to our ancestors who used this in all forms for protection and that they knew great wisdom without our modern technology. To think that in the present day, we are still trying to discover what our great ancestors for thousands of years have already known just by experimenting and passing down their findings by word of mouth or tradition. It's a shame we have to wait for science to catch up and prove it to us.
Many have used cinnamon for its smell to flavor the aroma of our homes. Many have expressed that it makes them feel warm, safe, and protected. A familiar feeling caused by the aroma or a yearning for home. It's even in the advertising, especially when looking for the right scented candle. The warmer cozy smells seemed to all be in one section with slogans and labels expressing warm fuzzy feelings. I know I associate those warm feelings right along with being safe and snug in my own home or maybe a memory of granny's house.
If you think about it, we sense the energies of lots of things without really giving them much thought. If there were no labels or books to teach us or to suggest such feelings we would probably come up with some of our own or fall back on our sense of smell, sight, and touch to tell us what is good and what is bad for us. Lemon, for example, has the smell of fresh and has always been known for its cleaning ability. We use it to clean and freshen or even whiten. Why not cinnamon to feel protected and warm.
Now you might be saying, "So is it really going to protect me, or is this just the feeling we get from that warm cozy aroma?" Yes, now we are asking the big questions. Is there any more science to this or do we have to rely on our intuition and just hope for the best?
For those answers, we'll have to look deeper. Astrology and traditions too far back to have been recorded have the answers. So for some answers, yes, we must rely on our intuitions but others like the astrological properties there are some answers there.
The fire element is known for many things; consumes and destroys; speed, purification, protection
Herbs belonging to the rule of this planet are said to be beneficial to the heart and circulation
Leo is a fixed sign belonging to the element fire and is ruled by the Sun.
Botanical Name: Cinnamon Zaylancium
History: Cinnamon and Cassia were imported into Egypt from China and Southeast Asia by 2000 B.C.E.
Cinnamon bark is an herb and herbal tea that helps nourish the kidneys and can increase sexual energy and enhance fertility.
Magickal History and Correspondences and uses:
Cinnamon Incense - corresponds with Wednesday and is good to burn on Wednesdays and is appropriate for burning in love spells
Magickal Uses: Protection, success, wealth, strength, aphrodisiac
Use in Essential Oils: As a pure essential oil, it is common to dilute with a carrier oil to make a usable oil from cinnamon as it is very expensive and can cause irritation if not diluted.
Cinnamon has a high vibration and can be used to increase our own vibration. It can be used in this way to reach our higher selves, a higher state of spirituality. While the cinnamon spice is related to the fire element, some believe the tree itself is ruled by the moon. The moon, with her loving Lunar energy, stimulates our higher selves and thinking. Cinnamon, being ruled by fire and the moon elements can provide protection as well as assist us in increasing our psychic or clairvoyant energies.
Tie nine cinnamon sticks together and hang them above your doors to protect your home from unwanted people and energy. As always, intention is key here. With every step you take in tying the cinnamon to placing it decoratively or not above your doors imagine what it is you want. We communicate with our energy and not so much with our verbal or mental intellect. This must come from a deep desire in your heart to will this into being. Remember that the cinnamon is a constant reminder of this desire for protection, for wealth, for strength or whatever it is that you desire the cinnamon to help you with.
Windows - Laying cinnamon sticks along window sills will protect the unwanted energy in the same way.
Carry on you - Whether you put cinnamon sticks or fresh powdered cinnamon in your purse or a pouch to carry with you, it works in the same way and acts as a protection charm. Again another constant reminder of this desire for protection.
Cinnamon incense is one of the most common and probably the most used form of cinnamon for protection. Burning the incense works in a similar way as using it as a charm except you are converting it by burning it. Consuming the incense by the element of fire. Some say using fire to burn incense is like sending a smoke signal to God, your angels, or your guides for immediate attention to your great need. In this case, a great need for protection, wealth, or even strength. Remember, we don't always communicate with our words, and using Cinnamon incense is like using symbolism to convey a message to spirit. Sending a powerful energy signal for help. A petition to have your request granted. Just know that God, our angels, and guides are always here to help and know without a doubt that your petition is heard. Blessed be.

Question: How can I do a love spell at home using cinnamon powder to get a man to call me asap?
Answer: Maybe you should try calling him instead. I don't believe in doing anything that will influence another person's will. What you could do is write a letter to his higher self, pleading your case for why you would like to receive a call from him. If it is in his best interest he will call. No cinnamon needed for that.
Question: May I wrap my money with a cinnamon stick for luck?
Answer: Belief is all that is required. Use whatever tool you can to achieve that belief. If cinnamon feels appropriate and you believe that wrapping it up with cinnamon will help you achieve that state of belief then you are correct. Ask yourself when you smell the aroma of cinnamon, what feelings or ideas arise. Does this spice smell rich and lucky to you?
Question: How do long do you keep your Cinnamon hung out? Do you keep them until it loses its scent?
Answer: When using cinnamon in decor and crafts you can keep them as long as you like. You can give them a boost with cinnamon oil or make your own cinnamon spray with cinnamon oil or buy some. If you can change them out for fresh ones. I prefer to always keep things fresh so it's a constant change for me.
Question: What happens when a lucky cinnamon stick is thrown away?
Answer: The cinnamon stick is now just a cinnamon stick in the trash. Cinnamon has its properties but you have to use them.
Question: In protection for the home, why use nine cinnamon sticks and not say, 3 or 5?
Answer: The number 9 was chosen for its meaning and attributes as everything is important when adding intention to work for a purpose.
Question: Does cinnamon increase the potency of fire spells?
Answer: Yes, it absolutely does increase it.
Question: I'm just starting my craft and I don't have cinnamon incense sticks, can I use cinnamon rolls?
Answer: I can’t say no to that because of your intention and more importantly your feelings are what brings about results. Feel free to be creative!

Yes, bhattuc it is still mysterious to some but we've come along way in medicine and new ways of thinking about health and well being. Our senses can be a great tool for applying another level and in this case it happens to be through our sense of smell. Intention however is not one of those senses but should not be forgotten. We are indeed creators of our reality from the clay God gave us.
Well presented. Linking these herbs and spices to create positivity and an environment of well being in our dwellings is a mysterious thing but it is always welcome to have that in our home. Nice article. Thanks.

Interesting and informative article. I use cinnamon daily as it has so many health benefits.
Maurice Glaude (author) from Mobile on January 10, 2020:
I'm honored, Tim. Thank you for making such a great compliment. I'm glad you enjoyed it and found it useful. Science shows a lot about plants, scents, herbs that have been known long before. Things such as bay leaf in your cabinets keeps the bugs out. I hope you find use in the cinnamon.
Tim Truzy from U.S.A. on December 23, 2019:
Excellent article. I will try to use cinnamon in these ways. After all, all plants came from the God of Love, (whatever you prefer to call that power), and I will try your suggestions. Thanks immensely

Don, I wish I knew. When you find out let me know. If I am astral projecting I am not aware.
Don from Tennessee on July 06, 2019:
I wonder if cinnamon can be used to enhance the transition to the astral plane, since it increases your vibrational energy.

Thank you for the knowledge of cinamon sticks.

You're tuning in and listening to your guides. I'm so proud of you. Keep it up.
Fate at its strongest. I woke this Wednesday morning with a strong desire to burn cinnamon.
Having then googled for some ‘understanding’ I found your post which says Wednesday is the strongest day and can be used for love. I’m burning with my long distance lover in my heart.
Maurice Glaude (author) from Mobile on September 06, 2018:
You're welcome, Anita. If you have more questions I'm here.
Anita Hasch from Port Elizabeth on September 06, 2018:
Thank you Maurice, so interesting to hear about the use of citrine crystal.
Maurice Glaude (author) from Mobile on September 03, 2018:
That is so wonderful Anita Hasch! I love to hear stories like that and I'm always excited. If you like the positive feelings from cinnamon try putting a piece of citrine crystal in the water for about 20-30 minutes before pouring out the water into your kettle or coffee maker. It will charge up the water with all the positive vibes and double with the cinnamon that you use. Good luck and come back if you have more stories. I love to hear them.
Anita Hasch from Port Elizabeth on September 03, 2018:
I have been using cinnamon powder for the past year. I started using it for its health benefits, but find that it also makes me feel positive.I take a small amount, tip of a teaspoon, in my coffee. I drink a lot of coffee. Thanks for all the info.
Maurice Glaude (author) from Mobile on July 20, 2018:
Wow that is interesting Finn. I saw another article here on hubpages that said something similar about introducing Fluoride as a health product when it was discovered as toxic and the makers needed a way to stay in business so they made claims that it was good for dental hygiene.
Well I had no idea that cinnamon possessed such potential. An interesting list of herbal remedies.
yes our ancestors had natural elements available to them and there was an interesting article I came across about how in the 20th century, Rockefeller helped squash philanthropy and build modern medical schools in order to support the petroleum and other industries he was involved with:
Thank you very much for your information, Maurice. I am learning as a Wiccan to heal people, it is nice to see others!
It’s used as a lure in love spells. If you use the stick be sure to kiss and offer to the goddess of love . Burn and throw ashes on your front doo
