Very important that you first read this:

https://telegra.ph/Why-do-i-use-psychedelics-10-15

Because there is lot of arguments i make there about the usefulness of psychedelics and also studies that shows the benefits from it. I also talk about my biblical views of it and etc. You may skip my religious "rambling" and go direct to the studies

I wont add those in this page, since it would bloat, unless it needs to be specified in a subject. And because this page is focused in psychedelics itself and not in my biblical view of it, even if i may end up talking a little about it to make my views here clear.

I would still advice to read my religious comments, since i comment a little about the effects so i can then argue using biblical concepts.

This page will be to share things like:

  • Information for the totally lay (or hater), deal with misconceptions and etc;
  • Explanation of the effects in technical terms;
  • Explanation of the effects in my personal view;
  • My tips for a proper set and experience;
  • Recipes;
  • And more...

Still, because i know some people will get to this page instead of reading the first article i sent and asked you to read, i copy pasted below one of the remarks i did on that article:

"

So let's break it down...

First, what the use of psychedelic IS NOT:

  • Not a power from evil spirits.
  • It does not give you control of an evil spirit to gain power.
  • It does not give supernatural power, but, pagan tribes can use the mental effects to enhance their perception, sensibility to achieve mystical experiences over the trance they have from concentrating on music, dances and mantras.
  • It can be used without any rites, which is the most common use. The use to practice sorcery is opcional.

Second, what the use of psychedelic IS:

  • Just like drinking coffee for the nootropic effect, eating to feel satisfied, wine to enjoy life and get some dopamine, garlic for health benefits. However, focused on the psychological qualities.
  • Just like a medicine for depression, a nicotine tab to make you stop smoking, an exposure therapy for one to stop a phobia, an euphoria that shows one shouldn't be anxious and ashamed of oneself, a medicine for anhedonia, emotional bluntness, lack of empathy.
  • A way to reset our mind and make us see reality in another angle (out of the default-mode) so we can fix our problems with increased creativity and cognition.
  • As a supplementary tool, not as a replacement for faith or prayer; neither see psychedelics as sacred and neither see it as a religion.
  • Just like having practices like fasting, praying, meditating on the bible and etc to achieve psychological states that aids you to be closer to God.
  • A way to make us feel an increase in our love, so we can meditate about the lessons of the bible and cry regretting every sin we did.
  • A way to increase our feelings, emotions, sensibility, so we can be more in tune with the virtues that are asked to be chased as fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, peace, joy, wisdom and etc... And then use this to do better in the world and to people.
  • To develop Wisdom and to gather more knowledge with the increase of your brain capacities. Use this knowledge to feed and defend your faith, to meditate on and interpret more accurately the bible. To have a deep philosophical state with high emotion to develop new reasons to perceive the greatness of God and use it to develop even more the reasons for your faith. Which is the one of the main reasons i use psychedelics.

MY TESTIMONY:

Small testimony:

I got cured from depression after LSD trips, and a long journey of dealing with it with other psychedelics, i also stopped drinking for four years after a Wachuma overdose.

I don't recommend overdoses, by the way, it was "semi-accidental". This is something i learned after that trip, psychedelics are not linear, but exponential, using the double of a dose will not be the double of the effect, but stronger than that.

That Wachuma trip made me notice how sedentary i was, in an experience it was like a spirit said to me that it would give me an opportunity to do exercises, coincidentally, few days later, someone asked me to do something i never thought i would do, Muay Thai... Said to me that if i was invited this person would get a discount, so i saw that as a sign of God and i did it. I did it for two and a half-years, i was invited to be athlete, but i refused, since i like it as a sport and not as a profession and i don't like to keep being bashed on my head. I became a machine of a person, i was able to easily do two sessions at once (but that is over-training and i don't recommend). This changed my social life, being strong strangely makes you feel confident, able to talk to people and etc. I felt like my increased energy capacity was also reflected in being able to be focused for longer times without having a brain fatigue.

The trip also showed me the beauty of math and to learn more logical things, since i always did things related to art and music and abstract things, even if i always loved philosophy and learned a lot about logic. I then studied math, that made me learn programming, and by that i end up learning economy, and then the financial market was the thing i most loved to work with. It was like my life turned 180 degrees in a single trip and i finally found myself and something to do.

I now finally had a job, was in good mood and shape and with a mental acuity i was not expecting to have, i became totally someone else.

I'm also a schizoid person and i have an huge anhedonia, which sometimes makes me not perceive how some of the words i use can impact people. And psychedelics helps me a lot in such case.

Nothing i used dealt with that, psychedelics being the only thing that truly deal with my anhedonia.

I also noticed effects that enhance my cognition, playing cognitive things like RTS, FPS and things that requires brain instead of body was way way easier. Expansion of creativity, the mental images were stronger, the sounds sound better, overall better mood, life was more poetical and it had a meaning.

I was always dark, i bullied people in the school, i was evil, walked with bad people, i was atheist and had no reasons for a moral basis (as it is seem as subjective by atheists). Psychedelics made me touch a side of me that i don't knew, i had love, but it was kinda selective, and the psychedelics made it overflow (which is almost the name of a music i did) in an isotropic way, becoming something more generalized. I regretted everything evil i did, cried a lot and began to feel pity of people instead of hatred.

GLOSSARY:

  • NOTE: Some are brazilian slangs that i may use here because are also useful to be used in general.

BAD-TRIP: I don't believe in bad-trips, i believe bad-trips are truths you were not ready to know, or confusion because the confusion the higher degree of awareness (and stimulus overload) are giving you. But bad-trips are states one find themselves that may lead to effects like: anxiety, paranoia, confusion, delusions and etc. As the name suggest, it is any bad mental effect that can come from a trip. It is very subjective, some people think that crying in a trip is a bad-trip, while i sometimes focus my meditations to lead me to cry so i can clean myself by having regrets and i call this a good-trip. Each person have their own view of Bad-Trip, but i think we can generally agree that confusion and paranoia are bad-trips.

BAKED: A term for when you reach a weed high that makes you get "baked", haha, you can only understand that if you use weed. But very likely it is when your eyes began to get heavy and you began to be more passive, normally it is used as the opposite of the effects of stimulants. However, in my country, the word we use is "chapado", but "chapado" is used to any degree of weed effect (chapadinho: little baked; chapadão: very baked) and also sometimes used interchangeable to other trips (but used for psychedelics, even if some noob sober people also sometimes use for alcohol). Everyone recognizes the weed as the root of this slang, so, if you just say "chapado", people are going to assume it is weed effect, but if you say "i'm chapado of LSD", then it is used interchangeable.

DOPAMINE: It refer to the hormone dopamine, but here i'm going to normally use to refer to the sensation one have of "commemoration", since dopamine is sort of like a "reward hormone". One example is how drunk and stimulant people are like they are partying for no reason at all, they are very likely having a boost in dopamine.

Dopamine is addictive and is behind many addictions. Dopamine addictive system is not for bad, if we find food, we release dopamine, so our brain train us to repeat the process that gives us food, money, success, finishing a project, winning a game and etc. But in much cases, when abused, may make one addicted to whatever it rewards, like, cassino addiction, alcoholism, cocaine addiction, binge food eating and more. Dopamine may also make events memorable.

Dopamine is easy to "get" (released), but some people lack because they don't have productive activities, and so, they lack personal reward. This leads people to look for dopamine in silly pleasures, like sex - which releases a lot - and alcohol.

Which makes me have a theory that hedonist people that needs silly pleasures are people that failed in life and can't even do basic things, like, math (since, solving puzzles also gives dopamine), creative productions, and etc. I'm very opposed to hedonistic life style, so i may be overly critical about that.

ENCHANTMENT: Tetris-effect, the things we do on our everyday normally keeps looping in our brain, when you close your eyes, you keep seeing images popping up in your internal-vision. Your philosophies tends to flow into comparison with the things you recently fed in your mind. It also refers to music that are stuck in your head or invasive thoughts that your keep trying to "make it go".

ESPIADO: It is a slang in Brazil in reference to the paranoia and / or aggressive state people get when they use too much stimulant. It comes from crack-cocaine users that are normally poor homeless people that begin to act weird; since heroin is barely existent in Brazil, the main drug here that destroy people's life is crack. And so, instead of seeing people baked in heroin and fentanyl like we see in USA, you see people that are over stimulated by crack at a point they get paranoid and begin to harass people. Normally people that are on a "espiado" state have wide open eyes and the face of someone that may beat you up.

One example of use is like: "let's get out of here, this guy is fucking espiado". "Espiado" comes from "Espiar", the "act of spy" or the "act of being spied", which them makes a reference to paranoia. It is basically the opposite of "baked".

The picture above is a random person (that is unknown to me) i found online showing the face you should expect from a person in a "espiado" state.

FRIED: Not exactly sure if "gringos" use this slang, but in Brazil it is common to use the term "fried" (frito) when you overuse something (but not overdose it). Be it from using lot of times per day, or by using a strong dose. For example, when you are "fried of weed", it is when you used too much weed that you begin to get lazy and you sleep like a rock. When you are are very euphoric after using LSD and begin to dance to psytrance like crazy or something, we point to you and say "look at this guy, he is so fried, wtf?!". It can also mean about the mental flux you have, like "i was frying (thinking too much) about this issue" (tava fritando nessas coisas). At a point this slang is used even on things that are not related to drugs, like, "oh, my girlfriend broke with me and then i was frying thinking about her".

LOMBRA: It refers to the effects that happen after the main effects ended. After the peak effect fades, you may still have a piece of semi-psychedelic effect hanging and some additional sensations, like the strange head buzz sensation that weed and LSD gives to you.

MENTAL SPACE: This is a term i just invented while writing this article. I think this is an unbiased view of the internal regions we access in our brain after a trip. This would avoid spiritual terms for people that does not treat such effects as spiritual, and also to avoid terms that are used by pagans to spiritual realms for people that may judge it negatively. People that know me know what i think about those so called "realms", and that even if i have used such terms sometimes, i don't have the new-ager view of such realms at all. And so, because standardization, using terms that have more chance to be misinterpreted is not good. And because of that, i noticed while writing this article that "mental space" is a good unbiased (and maybe more technical) reference to how we localize ourselves inside and in different degrees of our internal mental structures.

PÉIA: It is a term from the Ayahuasca community, when you drink Ayahuasca, you are going to feel one moment a certain nausea, when it mix with your mental state, may bring you bad memories that normally gives a moment of "bad-trip". However, in such communities, this is seem as a moment of cleansing.

SEROTONIN: It is an hormone that is normally associated with psychedelics, but it is not itself the reason for psychedelic effects. It is a hormone that brings us joy and creativity, and it is normally the aim of anti-depressants to release it. Together with dopamine, endorphin and oxytocin, these are considered the "quartet of happiness", and if you are having a balanced flow of it, you may feel in a good mood. Basically, do things that makes you feel rewarded, do creative activities, socialize and do exercises, that is the recipe to a good mood.

SYNESTHESIA: The capacity that one sense have to overflow to other senses (sounds leading to visuals, or visuals leading to sounds); this effect is very commonly reported in all psychedelics. In fact i believe everyone have a degree of synesthesia, so i also think this term is widely reported by people without proper consideration. I naturally have strong synesthesia, very likely by my schizoid nature, some sounds may distract me by how my internal-view reacts autonomously, or otherwise, i was already spooked by the sound of a lamp being turned on; and i had maximum scores on synesthesia tests. Like i said, i think everyone have a degree of it, so i think that the brain activity increase from psychedelics just increase this natural capacity we have.

TRINCADO: It is another slang that came from crack and cocaine use, but about the effect that ones get too stimulated that instead of being euphoric and active, this one gets "trincado" (shattered) and then relatively immobile. However, this slang began to spread to other psychoactive substances, and now it is normally simple used to mean one got in an "immobile state" after using a substance. Ex.: "I took 300ug of LSD at that party and then i got 'trincado' on the sofa and i kept like that the entire day". This is very uncommon in psychedelics, unless on overdoses, and it is more used for stimulants or high doses of MDMA. Normally is also used together with the slang "mordido", especially on high doses of MDMA (but also common with cocaine), which is when one starts to pressure their teeth together or starts to bite their lips (hence, 'mordido': bitten), "he took too many 'balinhas' ('candy'; MDMA pill) that he is all 'trincado' and 'mordido'".

BRAZILIAN SLANGS FOR DRUGS (NOT ONLY PSYCHEDELICS):

  • Since i'm not American, i may or may not end up using some of those terms to explain myself. This include other the use in other articles.

COCAINE:

Substance: pó (powder), rata, ratata, téco, raio (ray), lagarto (big line).

Effects: raiádo, espiado, trincado, acelerado, cheirado (sniff-ed).

User: cheirador (sniffer).

CRACK:

Substance: pedra (rock), drape ('pedra' with the syllables inverted), brita (crushed stone).

Effects: noiado, espiado, trincado, acelerado.

User: nóia (from paranoia), noiado (derived from 'nóia'), pedreiro (mason; in portuguese 'pedreiro' should be seem as a word like 'fisherman': fish + man; and so 'rock + man': 'rockman' is how it sounds here and why we use this term).

Utensils: lata (improvised pipe using soda or beer can); cano (pipe, but the ones used in constructions, which is an improvised smoking pipe), torneira (faucet; another improvised pipe), Bombril (proprietary eponym for steel wool, very trash and dangerous way to smoke crack when you have not much utensils to improvise a pipe).

LSD:

Substance: doce (sweet), ácido, papel (paper; reference to blotter), pelpa (inverted syllables of 'papel'), microponto (microdot LSD pill).

Effects: papelado.

Acts: dropar [um doce / papel / etc] (from the english "to drop").

User: doceiro (not very common, most people may not understand you).

MDMA:

Substance: bala / balinha (candy, little candy; for the pills), ecstasy, E, cristal (for the pure MDMA; not a lay term and may be that a random person wouldn't understand you; especially that i don't know much lay people that used pure MDMA).

Acts: dropar.

WEED:

Substance: ganja, jagan (inverted syllable), maconha, nhacoma (inverted syllable), erva (herb), va'er (inverted syllable), verde (green), de'ver (inverted syllable), baseado (weed joint), doseaba (inverted syllable), 12aba (inverted syllable, but using numbers as pronunciation; 12 = doze), marihuana, fino (thin joint; also 'nofi'), vela (candle; big joint; also 'lave'), tora (log; very big joint), bomba / bombinha (fat joints), beck (joint), ponta (joint roach; also 'tapon'), baga (same as 'ponta'), resina (both in reference to resin products, but mostly used for the black goo that comes from joint, pipes and etc), prensado (a type of weed in south america that comes pressed, normally the lowest quality), amarelinho (little yellow; a more yellowish pressed weed, a little higher quality, but not much), flor / florzinha (flower / little flower; bud, normally in reference of high quality weed), kank / skank (portuguese pronunciation of skunk, a stronger weed variant), camarão (shrimp; large pieces of ground - from grind - weed; normally used to warn someone of some weed being wasted from dropping from the paper when in act of rolling, or the evidence that cops might find with you, or a large chunk that may rip the rolling paper; it may also refer to bud; ex.: "you keep dropping some camarões while rolling, wtf?! Let me roll this instead"), pastel (bad rolled joint, in reference of a brazilian food that is pressed instead of rolled; the joke for a bad roller person is 'pasteleiro'), the gesture of pushing a kite line (the gesture is a sneaky silent way to make reference to the gesture one does to move the hand to the mouth), cabrobró (a stronger weed variant), umzinho (sneaky way to ask for a weed joint, "tem umzinho?": "do you have one?"), de Jah (from Jah; reference to Rastafari), faz-me-rir (make-me-laugh lit., more like "laugh-maker"; weed, but in reference of the joyful effect of it).

Effects: chapar (flatten), chapado (flattened), teto-preto (black ceil; black out), baqueado (stunned; pretty high), estraquinado (very high, normally when one gets red eyes), olhos vermelhos (red eyes), larica (the hunger that comes from weed), lezado (hand-capped; when you get lazy after smoking a lot; "get a coffee to me, bro, i'm lezado", "no, bro, i'm also lezado").

Acts: bolar (to roll a joint), dichavar / dechavar (to grind weed), mafu (fuma[r], 'to smoke', but with inverted syllable), f1 ('fumar um', 'smoke one'; also a question "f1?" = "do you smoke one?"; Gen Z slang that was spread on social-medias, not often used by older people; also a way to confuse sober people into thinking it is Formula One, but now it got too popular), bola (weed / cigar huff; also used to ask for a huff: "passa a bola": for those who take too long to smoke; "posso dar uma bola?" = "can i smoke a huff?"), tragar (the act of huffing deeply, not like leaving the smoke in the mouth like some people do with cigars; since it is an act associated with weed, when someone makes reference to it, people may associate you are talking about smoking weed: "vou dar um trago", "going to give a huff", then someone asks: "wait?! Do you have weed and you aren't sharing it?"), caríca (the weed sharing organization where a person gives only a single big huff and then pass the joint to someone else in a circle until it gets back to this person again; this is made for large groups to avoid a single person to hold for too long and to avoid it from not being shared equally, especially if you have only a thin joint), "lei do duende, quem bola acende" (a rhyme for a norm of that the one that rolls the joint also gives the first huff), there is also a more obscure organization that the joint should be passed to someone on your left side (in reference of how cards are distributed in a popular card game in Brazil called "truco"), dedo amarelo (when you smoke a joint, your finger may get tainted with the resin and becomes yellow; people avoid this by using 'piteiras'; people normally warn your fingers are yellow so you don't get caught by cops or parents), pilar (to use an utensil to press the weed after it is rolled so it gets more compacted and the 'camarões' don't drop off), jacaré / jacarezou (alligator / alligatered; when a joint is bad lit or the blaze is not properly dealt with saliva, then it burns only one side and you waste weed), passar mela (to put a little amount of saliva on one side - or as a ring - of the joint, normally by licking one's own finger and spreading around the joint, so that the area that the blaze is stronger may not lead to a 'jacaré').

User: maconheiro, chapado.

Utensils: seda / papel (rolling paper, but also any paper that can be used to roll; 'sedanapo' a mix of 'seda' and 'guardanapo'- napkin - as a slang to use a napkin as a rolling paper or a type of napkin that is not to absorb, but to avoid oil, which is better to smoke), piteira (any enlonged device attached to the end of a joint to make it easier to smoke and / or to hold; or a pick used to hold the joint to avoid making your finger yellow), filtro (joint filter, but sometimes used as synonymous of piteira, although this is technically incorrect), pilão (pestle; any utensil, improvised or not, to press the weed after it is rolled; there is a schism from people that pestle their joint, i do pestle it; the argument is that it makes the weed more uniform and rigid, which avoids 'jacarés' or the blaze to fall from it; the counter-argument is that it is fancy and delays the manufacture process, sometimes mocked with "beck de malandro não leva pau na bunda": "thug's joint don't take a stick in the ass"; having a pestle is a symbol of a stoner, so, sometimes people just take an object and carry as a personal pestle and then, when they are rolling, people look that as a "um homem prevenido vale por dois": "forewarned is forearmed"; sometimes people use fancy pestle as a way of a mockery of status, like, once a friend made such a big joint that he pestled with another joint, that is high status, hahaha, or another that used his dreadlock), cartão (card; but refer to any thin device to aid someone in rolling, however, that is highly frowned upon by skilled rollers, since this looks like a gay way to deal with something so simple, and may lead to intense trolling; i never used card, it is totally useless when you have a minimal skill in rolling).

INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHEDELICS:

Psychedelics are substances that leads to changes in perception, imagination, thinking process, senses, emotions and etc. This introduction section can't add much about it, so, the best text about how psychedelics works is in the section 'EFFECTS'.

ABOUT DIFFERENT PSYCHEDELICS:

I don't think all psychedelics are good.

Things like Ketamine and etc.

Also, MDMA is not a psychedelic, but an empathogen, and i personally dislike it and i don't recommend.

MDMA does not act on the same subcategory of 5-HT receptors as the psychedelics i recommend.

My experiences with MDMA were terrible (especially because my introvert nature), it is just a pleasure physical effect and being like in a social state that drunkenness gives, which makes you do things you wouldn't do otherwise, and later you regret thinking "wow, what i did was such a MDMA thing to do" and that you don't wanted to express yourself in such way. It also makes you very open and you may end up oversharing things of your life and them regret later.

After the effects fade out, you get in a numb state and you can't speak a single word to people, some people even compare the next day effect and name it as "depression".

To the contrary, with psychedelics, i normally measure better my words, even if i become more open to people, i still do that in a way i know it wouldn't be in that "party vibe" of MDMA and would be to point certain emotional philosophies and examples. And when the effects of psychedelics fade out, i feel amazed by the experience and i'm still sensible and euphoric in the next day.

I wont condemn people that use it for the physical aspect, as far as i know, MDMA is relatively safe, i just think all i said above and that it is superficial, and if i have to spend the few money i have, i would spend on LSD instead.

I never used NBOMe [1, 2] (aka, N-Bomb), but my friends that used said i shouldn't use at all, that some people died because of that, that they and their friends never had a good trip, it was always a bad trip and one of their friends got in a psychotic state and very scared. It is normally sold as a "cheap LSD", but i never saw anyone that uses this for spiritual practice or that had a important life revelation out of it. It may have, i have not done big researches online. But my friends said i shouldn't even care about wanting it if LSD is as affordable.

I think that simple because it is toxic, the toxic reactions amplified by the increase brain activity simple turns into a bad-trip.

As people say "if it taste, spit it", LSD don't have taste, N-Bomb have a bitter taste. This mean someone scammed you with N-Bomb, because it is cheaper and they profit by selling at LSD price.

Most synthetic cannabinoids are dangerous and have evidences to have led people to death! I think it is incredible ironic that the government prohibits cannabis, which never killed anyone and have the best cannabinoid ever, and so people invented and still invents alternatives that are dangerous, toxic and fatal.

If they simple legalize weed, this would never be a case.

And so, i totally don't recommend synthetic cannabinoids.

EFFECTS:

First, we should address the false common belief from sober people of what is hallucination:

Most people that accuse the effects of the brain, does not understand the nature of hallucination. And i say that as a person that have psychosis, i had irrational paranoia of people, weird associations. So when i say that, i say that with authority... Yes, i know! Fallacy of appeal to authority... But anyway, as testimony, that i know how to differ the tricks my mind plays with me vs reality.

Even on my most strange stage of psychosis, i noticed there are classes of tricks. But my psychosis still consisted with resources i saw on "what is real", it was just a confused connection of stimulus and events linked to a psychological state and emotions that would make one lead to psychosis.

But the "so called hallucinations" is on a visible different source than the "so called physical".

What i mean by that is that people that think hallucination is "to see pink elephants" (which is in fact about alcohol delirium), they really don't know what is a hallucination. Pink Elephants are a delirium, not hallucination, neither psychosis, and it is something a level beyond, that, as far as i know, requires one to lose control and reason.

It works like that:

  • Hallucination is any distortion in our senses, from very small things, like, a sound distortion, color distortion; to bigger things, like, synesthesia, sound illusions, view distortions. One can have their inner oniric view saturated like it is overlaying the "real view" on your vision. Things like a kaleidoscope, flashes of memory linking to your current experience, or a vivid "un-ignorable" imagination. Not all hallucinations are fruit of your mind, in fact, the vast majority are an expansion of your senses and the impact of stimulus.
  • Psychosis is when you connect patterns that are unrelated and leads to a false conclusion, but this is done over what IS REAL, but your conclusion makes so much sense and looks so impossible to be wrong, that your emotions goes out of the roof. Most of this is because certain emotions you have "paints your vision" in a way you are lead by those emotions. For example, a depressive person, even in front of something that is undeniable joyful, will maintain a line of thinking and emotions that "this is not joyful and people can't understand me".

In the psychosis case, it is not depression, but emotions mixed with anxiety and a fight-and-flee-response happening and your subconscious trying to gather any information in front of you that could explain it, for some: even aliens if possible. In my case, i normally feel like people are plotting against me, i don't think like i'm going to have a life threatening situation (i already had some like that), but one that would be very unpleasant.

Everybody, one moment or another, had the same mix of neurological events that made one have unrelated patterns to connect in a way that one couldn't doubt; maybe only a psychopath wouldn't, because he may not care about his life or about what people think about him. However, there are levels of emotions, levels of anxiety and levels of "fight and flee response", and some people "transcends" the neurological framework that should deal with that.

You can only understand by experiencing, don't matter how irrational it looks after. Which is important to take in consideration, people that have a mystical experience don't say that what happened was irrational after happening. But people with psychosis do say, and so, those are vectors in different directions of this field.

  • Delirium is when someone see stuff and act like this stuff is real indeed. This is what "sober people" think people that use LSD are experiencing. This is what makes one see Pink Elephants. But, for one to react like those are real, it is not because this one is in a rational condition. Even if some end up seeing a Pink Elephant, this one would know this is too absurd to be true. So, when someone is in a state of delirium, this one is not acting rational at all, this one in fact is not on a higher degree of conscience, but in a confused loss of conscience. Which means that even if someone uses a deliriant like "Trombeta" (Datura or Brugmansia) or "Belladonna", this one gets into a level of confusion and lack of consciousness that does not match what a NDE or a Mystical Experience is like.

I have used Salvia, which is not a strong deliriant (compared to Datura, since all delirants are strong), but it is not an hallucinogen, and i would say it is something way different than what you expect. The conscience is not aware as we are when awake, in my case with Salvia, it was like a dream reality mixed with my reality, and even when i knew it was "just a dream", i would still act like it was real.

However, with Salvia, there is still something that always reminds you that you are awaken, so, it is relatively safe (but not completely), so you don't do very wrong things, like, kill oneself or someone.

Anyway, Salvia was already something otherworldly and incomparable with any hallucination or psychosis, those three are different classes of mind oddity that even if comparable and classifiable, are way different.

The experiences i have read with "Trombeta" reach a level that some people don't remember even a moment of the experience. Some barely remember, and some that remember may remember things that this one is very aware that was "not real", but acted like it was anyway.

Consequently, i know very well, that, one with a proper state of reason would know very well what is real or what is not even if this one end up seeing a Pink Elephant. And so, if something that made one in a state to believe in God, or to see a realm from beyond, this one is not believing that because "a hallucination", they very likely have very real references to confirm to themselves that it was indeed real, different than a psychosis or a delirium.

Also take in mind that most people that use psychedelics normally use on low-doses that wouldn't give strong hallucinations, and the weak hallucinations are just hallucination in technical terms, but not different than perceiving reality as it is, it is a hallucination in terms of "you hear better, you see better", which is in fact a modification of your senses, hence, technically it is hallucination. Most lay people will think that one is having very crazy and distorted perception of sound and light from things they saw on movies and etc, while a person next to you may be under a small effect of mushroom or had smoked a big fat joint and you can't even tell the difference, you can only notice that he is enjoying music more than the usual, hehehe.

The most short explanation i can give about the effects:

I see like kids are naturally under this effect, so, you become a kid again.

"Jesus invited a little child to stand among them. "Truly I tell you," He said, "unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me"" - Matthew 18:2-5.

Unless it is a higher dose, but that is like saying when you puke after drinking too much that this is the effect of alcohol.

On what i call "spiritual dose", then it is like becoming a kid again, but with a more "cinematographic" feeling over it and with your inner-view more saturated. Also, all your emotions, sensibility, feelings, cognition, creativity and etc will double. And this may lead some people to have deep philosophical deliberation, or to end up disliking a music that one used to like ("it feels cringe now; it feels stupid; it feels like it does not matches me anymore"), may get too emotional and end up crying and etc (which i think is beautiful, i love to cry).

Smoked vs Digested:

I once said:

"Like, a small to big weed is like taking a hit of 25ug to 60ug of LSD, but that the peak effects are almost instantaneous, however, the fading out effect is also faster. But i think people really don't notice how strong is weed, when you keep a long time without smoking, or smoke on a LSD trip, you can perceive how different is to be how one is to how one becomes after smoking one. If you take a 100ug LSD tab, and after around 3h of taking it you smoke a medium-small joint, and it will look like your 100ug trip is now at 150 - 167ug, but for like 7 minutes, and then at around some 10 minutes it is like 130 - 150ug, then another 10 minutes and it is more like 120 - 130ug and then fades even faster.

There were joints i smoked after months, like, three to four months, and it had hit me in a very spiritual tone and i was remembering days when i took 75ug and things like that, no jokes. I think every stoner had a moment like that, hahaha".

Experienced people knows that smoking means "higher effect, faster fade in, faster fade out".

And digesting is "longer effect, slow fade in, sustain on the peak for a while, slow fade out".

If it was music and it was an ADSR envelope:

  • Smoking is, the Attack would still exist, but takes like 5 minutes to peaks, then no sustain, but a medium long Decay.
  • Digested would be a long Attack, no Decay, a small Sustain, then a long Release.

And i think people don't understand the power of "the peak" of when you smoke. But, people that smoked Salvia and Changa (or DMT), understand how is that in relation to weed.

When you smoke those, the effects are almost instantly, but not because it is instantly, it is the same ADSR as Weed, but since the effects are so strong, that from '0' to 'Attack', already puts you in a intense trip mode.

Then you really feel how much time you keep on the peak of smoking something, how strong it is, example: half my one-hitter (the one of the pictures) of Changa, is like 2.5x to 3x stronger than the strong doses i used to take in the last Ayahuasca temple, but the most intense moment of the trip lasted 20 minutes, just like Salvia, in fact, like 10 minutes, and the other 10 was still intense because the trip itself is intense. In total, around 40 minutes to fade out from the trip and about 4h of "lombra" (brazilian slang for the 'post-effect' that keeps after the main effects faded out).

And then when you have trips of this intensity, and understand that weed is just an 'a/b' ratio from this same trip, then you notice in fact that weed indeed have this thing of in five minutes induce you in a strong peak, and you keep in an intense vibe for at least some 20 minutes. And i think people don't notice how strong truly is the peak of a weed high, because, it is indeed strong and compared to at least some 50ug of LSD, no lies, test it by yourself, i had moments i was taking LSD once to twice a week, and moments that i would simple drop 50ug, i know pretty well the effects, and i know how the 50ug effect can indeed happen in a medium-small joint of a good quality weed.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PSYCHEDELICS AND OTHER DRUGS:

The psychedelics i like are the ones that interact with 5HT_2A:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-HT2A_receptor

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-HT_receptor#Subtypes

I want you guys to be aware that i dislike drugs in general, i don't think the psychedelics i use can be compared to "drugs" (in hedonistic terms), and more like drugs in a therapeutic, medical, strategical terms.

Some people don't treat coffee as a drug, even if it technically is. The same way i don't treat such substances as drugs, because the term drug when used colloquially implies something dirty.

However, since it boost your joyfulness, it may also be used in parties by some people. I'm not much of a fan. I think my way of having leisure, while under strong effect, is going to a beautiful place, park or whatever, take some weed joints with me, take a sun bath and smoke while high on LSD to appreciate whatever there is to appreciate. Ironically, math is my party, and i love programming under LSD.

  • 5HT_2A:

This is a sub-type of serotonin receptor; it is the one that is ideally considered psychedelic or "entheogenic". Which is different than other types of sense modifiers or serotonin drugs (like SSRI).

Psychedelics lead you into an increase brain activity, takes you from the default-mode network, and so, making you see the world like it is something new, which aids you into thinking outside-of-the-box and break addictions, compulsions and pre-established view of reality. Which then leads people to think about things they never thought about thinking before, and sometimes, may even make one that is an atheist to change his strong consolidated view of God.

By the fact it increase brain activity, it can also lead to increase in certain virtues, emotions and sensibility. Making stimulus becoming more impactful, arts becoming more emotional and higher senses (hearing better, seeing better, smelling better, tasting better and etc). This also means your imagination, oneiric vision (inner vision; unless you have aphantasia), enchantments and etc end up increasing.

At high doses, this may be too much, and then, people may get confused and disoriented by any stimulus, which can lead people to paranoia and delusions (not delirium; some people may have delirium at very high doses tough).

All that i said is one of the reasons psychedelics have a fame to lead people into mystical experiences. However, i used to think of psychedelics as a spiritual tool, i don't think like that anymore. I think it depends a lot of the person, the place, the activities and etc. Like i said in my article explaining why i use psychedelics, i have met people that did sinful activities, people that did straight up evil things, people that never felt anything spiritually superior, that only partied and enjoyed the gain in their senses, that never believed in God and neither had mystical experiences. Some that thought that feeling lot of love and emotions are mystical experiences and then kept being atheist or had a vague view of spirituality, while, for me, a mystical experience is something that should prove you that spirits and spiritual forces do exist.

And so, nowadays i think it more like a tool that gives the resources you need for a mystical experience, and that is why i use it. But it only works if you aim it for mystical experiences, or else, it should be seem as mere drugs and not as something spiritual. One don't need psychedelics to have such experiences and neither to find God. One wont necessarily end up finding God. One can use merely for therapy and have no higher spiritual development.

However, if one say they can do as much in spiritual terms as the one that have spiritual activities aided by psychedelics is of course lying. I heard lot of people that said: "but you can fast and meditate and it does the same thing after a lot of spiritual practice", no, it does not, i never ever met someone that achieved the same degree by doing that, and i think those people are "placebo-ing" themselves that this is the same effect. Also, so why don't you fast, meditate and also use psychedelics? Are you going to say you can go above that in such sense?

Like i said in my article about why i use it, God made those plants, i think God made such tools for us to use, and not for us to condemn it. God gave us food to eat, you can't just stop eating and be "no, i don't need food, God can do anything, don't?!". And the same people are like "no, i don't need psychedelic, God can do anything, don't?". God gave you the tools, stop pretending to be wise and following rules of men, take a 100ug of LSD and see if God really dislike it or if God have not made such substances for us as a tool to aid in our spirituality. I simple consider that the ones that says such things are not saying what is true and are lying to themselves to cope with the social ostracization in their faith or never used (or never used enough in an appropriate set).
