What is Pensy?

Pensy is a lightweight tracker for income and expenses. It supports multiple currencies (converted to USD under the hood), custom categories (emoji, color, name), and clean monthly summaries.


How do I add an expense or income?

Tap the main action button on the Dashboard → choose Track Expense or Track Income → enter amount, category, and currency → save.


How are hourly/weekly/monthly rates calculated?

Rates are always calculated within the current month. You can navigate months using the arrows on the Dashboard.


How do I change months on the Dashboard?

Use the left/right arrows at the top to switch to the previous or next month.


Where do exchange rates come from?

Pensy fetches current exchange rates from a third-party exchange-rate API. Rates update periodically and may differ slightly from your bank.


Do I need an account?

No. Everything works locally. If you enable Sync, your data can be securely stored in your iCloud account.




Sync & Subscription


What’s included in the subscription?

Cloud sync across devices (via iCloud/CloudKit), plus priority fixes and improvements. Price: ~$1/month (managed by Apple).


How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and manage Pensy. Apple handles billing and cancellations.


How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open Pensy → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.




Privacy & Data


Where is my data stored?

By default, on your device. If you enable Sync, your data is stored securely in your private iCloud account (encrypted in transit and at rest).


How do I delete my data?

You can delete local data in Settings. For synced data deletion, remove the app and its data from iCloud via your device settings.
