Liam Lawson Secures Full-Time Formula 1 Seat with AlphaTauri for 2024 Season

In a move that has sent waves through the motorsport world, New Zealand’s rising star Liam Lawson has been confirmed as a full-time driver for Scuderia AlphaTauri in the 2024 Formula 1 season. The announcement comes after Lawson’s impressive performances as a stand-in driver for the injured Daniel Ricciardo earlier this year, where he showcased his talent and adaptability on the sport’s biggest stage.

The 21-year-old from Hastings, New Zealand, made his F1 debut at the Dutch Grand Prix in August 2023, stepping in for Ricciardo after the Australian suffered a hand injury during practice.
