Would be nice if this thing projected at all, after 5 min it's a skin scent, projects for 1 min or something... lasts long on skin tho
I don't know why but no one mentioned this reminds them od Narciso Rodriguez For Her edp. Maybe not immediately but on the dry down, some fresh sharpness, my bf told me it's Narciso when he smelled it. I smell it too. Elie Saab Le Parfum is gold to me. Wearable for any occasion,...
Funny story : I sold my bottle to a woman and she accused me to have sold her a fake because she went to sephora and it doesn't smell like the dior homme at sephora. Do you understand the problem ? The fact they kept the name dior homme for a total different scent is so annoying...
Gucci gorgeous Gardenia for sure. Got a huge bottle at tjmaxx for 17 bucks and now I want to try all the other scents. Really pretty
Warm spice with a a soap-like aspect and an almost barbershop-y vibe. Not my type of scent - smells more old school, and not as creative/interesting as most Comme des Garcons fragrances, despite the interesting looking notes list. I don't think it's terrible or anything, just not very...
Can't stop smelling the bottle...such a nice scent! I even wear it during summer time with high temperatures.
This smells like santal 33 le labo , but without the pickle vibe
amazing day/night, spring/summer fragrance with good projection. got so many compliments wearing it, specially at work. more male, slightly towards unisex. smells even better on linen shirts for some reason. one of my favourites. smells similar to Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve, bit lighter though. got...
I cannot smell this at all. Tried it at many different stores, many different times. It has absolutely no scent, smells like nothing. Anyone else have this issue?
It is ok, a blast of vanilla, I have to say I don't detect the coconut, maybe its more present in the creaminess of the fragrance. In fact, my first impression was 'Oh god, I hate it, it smells exactly like IKEA vanilla candles', but after two days of wearing it, I changed my mind....
I've just about used up my 75ml bottle of Mandarine Basilic. It is a lovely summer orange fragrance and it is my summer of 2022 go to EDT. I smell the orange and ivy/basil predominately and then the subtle base notes start to emerge. Every once in a while I catch a whiff of the orange...
Glad I got samples of Roses musk & Intense Cafe before I purchased full bottles. I thought I was going to like RM more but no ma’am! The musk is just to thick & heavy. Makes me feel like I’m back in New Orleans in late July breathing in that thick, humid, & hot air. Intense Cafe is a...
In the beginning, it reminds me of insect repellent, maybe nail polish remover. I find the initial notes very unpleasant. Later it turns into a really bland, sweet, soapy smell, that isn't necessarily unpleasant, it's just boring. I cannot smell the coconut or citruses.
According to the reviews, this is not for everyone and is quite polarized. To me, it leans masculine and is an acquired scent. You just have to be OK with Neroli used with the support of some darker notes. The scent is quite unique, and it projects someone who is confidence and willing to step...
Good fragrance that’s different. Its not a citrus or aquatic. It’s also not an homage to the classic Italian cologne. The Gentleman line is so good but they dropped the ball here. Why? We’ll never know. Performance is abysmal with this
Mimosal and anise aldehydeare both present in Alien by Thierry Mugler
Looks like they borrowed the idea for those sliding tin boxes for samples that Tauer has been using since forever. Regardless, I've been skeptical of this brand since they started offering compositions with scrambled note pyramids in which something like "berries" could appear...
If they could do one without rose for once that would be great.
If you play with l & d carvones with your nose and the help of a molecular scale, you get what makes Alien Alien. The core of it, signature, DNA. The "conductor" if you will. And some other ol in anise... Don't forget about that 🤫
IFF or whoever even uses one of those to enhance Mango flavors in yogurts and beverages
Like seriously? This fragrance is €495? Well, I stumbled on a great deal of Shem for $250! Authentic product! I dunno if that's a fabulous deal or should wait a while for further drop. What's $250 in € please? 🤔
Thank you for this very interesting article Matvey. Vetiver is, and will always be, one of my most favourite notes in perfumes... I guess I was around 15 when I first smelled.... Vetiver de Guerlain....I was in heaven, never had smelled anything like it in my life! I totally agree with @Miguel...
If you are launching a new line for the first time in "nearly a decade", it would be expected that the brand would have something innovative or interesting to say that couldn't be expressed in a flanker from one of the existing lines. The well worn masculine path of...
This is my favourite from the GG line, biggest compliment getter, but those bottles are trash. It's by Louise Turner but also Quentin Bisch who came up with Angel Nova and Delina. They are all quite similar and I'm still trying to figure out if he is a lazy perfumer or just really loves...
Dior's new Sauvage flanker "Sauvage Amber Extreme" sample it first, comes off very animalic even a little Fecal.
"We’ve all encountered, face to face, people who say, “This doesn’t have any nasty chemicals in, does it?” And I say, “No. It’s got nice ones.” And then they’ll say, “Oh, there are nice ones?” Then I’ll go, “Yeah, here, smell this.” " - I so appreciate this from Sarah (and thank you...
I had never smelled Aramis until this week (and I'm 55). For the drugstore price, you get a sophisticated dry spice scent. Your reference to Mitsouko and Noir Epices piqued my interest. To me, it's very close to Mitsouko but the peach has been swapped out for clover and dirty patchouli....
Wanna know who I think comes across as an off putting and insecure douche? Take a wild guess! There is no need for comments like that.
Both of them sound really good! (btw I'm not surprised, this house always creates amazing perfumes) Can't wait to try them!
Ah henna girl... was my first. Loved it
Thank you for the informative article and images. I love the fragrance of the sap on the pine cones. It was my parents that had the know-how to use the mighty northern white cedar giants as a source of privacy on their property all lined up. They were a great sight to see using nature instead of...
If you don't care for the photos or logos, look at the prices of the scents instead. They are so reasonable. I suspect they would not be so budget-friendly if the perfumer had spent a fortune on marketing.

Kyara by DI SER is a Amber Woody fragrance for women and men. Kyara was launched in 2000. The nose behind this fragrance is Yasuyuki Shinohara.
"Kyara is the name of the fragrant wood that is used in incense burning. In Japan, for more than 1000 years, it has been considered to have the finest aroma. Using the scent we have distilled ourselves from kyara, this perfume represents the traditional culture and depth of Japan." - a note from the brand.
Kyara is a gourmand creation with masculine floatiness. It is floral, oriental, woody and with depth. The ingredient lists citrusy aromas, but they are completely in the service of agarwood, French tuberose, and Indian Sandalwood, creating a busy traffic flow of sophistication. You can truly feel special with this perfume.
