Jesse Plemons to Star in New Coen Brothers Film 'The Last Ride'

Los Angeles, April 26, 2025 — Academy Award-nominated actor Jesse Plemons has been tapped to lead the cast of The Last Ride, the latest project from acclaimed filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen. The film, described as a 'neo-noir crime thriller,' will mark the Coen brothers' first collaboration since their 2021 drama The Tragedy of Macbeth.

Plemons, known for his standout roles in Killers of the Flower Moon, The Power of the Dog, and Fargo, will play a disillusioned detective investigating a series of mysterious disappearances in 1970s Texas. Sources close to the production suggest the film will blend the Coens' signature dark humor with a gripping, character-driven narrative.
