13.5. Radiological guidance
@ProfFishchenkoAfter positioning the patient, we identify the target level under C-arm guidance in the lateral view. We use the anteroposterior view to determine the lateral offset of the planned incision from the projected spinous process.

The radiological landmark is the interlaminar space at the corresponding level. We mark the intervertebral disc level on the skin and draw the lines established during planning. After preparation and sterile draping of the surgical field, we reconfirm the level with a localization needle before making incisions.
