Or simply take your old screen and spline from the door with you to your local building supply store to find the proper replacements.
Measure your current screen and make sure you purchase a replacement screen that is two inches wider and longer than your current screen. Always refer to your Andersen Storm Door owner's manual for specifics about your particular model of storm door. Unscrew the screws holding on the door handle of your Andersen Storm Door with a screwdriver. This will provide you easier access to the screen. Lift off the door handle. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to lift out the spline from a corner of the Andersen Storm Door. This is what holds the screen in place. You may be able to reuse the spline, but if it's damaged or frayed, you'll need a new one. Pull the spline out of its track with your hand; do this all the way around the door. If you need to install a new spline, cut it to the same length of the old spline. Use scissors to cut the spline. Place the new screen over the opening in the door. Line up the edge with the edge of the door to ensure you have aligned the screen straight.
Insert the spline in the corner of the track where it was before, laying it overtop of the new screen. Push it into the track using the convex roller on the spline tool, rolling it along the track so it is inserted along with the screen. Do this all the way around the perimeter of the opening until the screen is pulled taut, and all sides are inserted in the track under the spline. Cut away the excess screen along the edge of the track carefully using a utility knife. Place the tip of the utility knife along the junction where the outside edge of the spline sits in the groove. This way you'll make a clean cut. Replace the door handle for your Andersen Storm Door and screw in the screws you took out with the screwdriver.
