The project is a two-year intense development project that includes trainings, individual country support, as well as provides opportunity for both peer-to-peer exchanges and participation at network activities to a larger extent than what is the current situation. The project is supported and coordination by the IS. The concept builds on using both the expertise and know-how within the YFU network on program and organizational growth, as well as taking the individual organization’s need of activities, support and actions for growth within their national context. The main goals for this project is to help 12 national organization to reach a more sustainable level of operations; this includes increase of student numbers, increased national visibility, improved program quality, increase of the number of trained volunteers, improved operational skills (including Financial management), and increase their participation in the YFU network. The goal is also to get strategies in place for those that are not yet Admitted & Recognized on how to achieve this. The elements in the project that is covered by ICDF grant are group trainings, and individual country support; such as job-shadowing, interns, and support visits.
