What is @WritersClub about?

@WritersClub is a @tgWeb Network resource group for writers & aspiring writers [soon to be only working for verified members, [read more about verified members]. It is not just a chat group but is a community of writers (as well as readers) who have come together to discuss & support each other for the love of literature. Open discussion is encouraged here however it may get moderated if going out of league and is not centered around the love of writing/literature. For all off-topic chats join @tgTag.


How @WritersClub came into existence and who are the people behind it?

@WritersClub came into existence on August 24th 2016 and has been active since September 20th 2016. With a motto to facilitate as well as felicitate writers and literature lovers, this platform was created for aspiring writers such as its own creator.

Rajiv Anand, a full-time copywriter who also likes to write poetry is the creator of this group. You can contact him here @t_ink.

What do writers & readers do at @WritersClub?

o Writers can discuss their writing ideas, post their write-ups, discuss the challenges to get help and review others’ post.

o Meet and expand contact with fellow writers and literature lovers.

o Encourage and motivate others to read/write for the love of literature.

o Readers can review the write-ups, discuss about books or any piece of writing. A reader can also willingly contribute to the writer’s ideas.

This group does not affiliate any political or religious propagandas hence any discussions around the same is forbidden.

RULES

What are the group rules?

In order to ensure that this group flourishes and accomplishes the community interests the following rules have been laid out to be mandatorily adhered to:

- Your action in the group should be limited to the community’s interest only.

- Any NSFW (Not Safe For Work) or illicit content will get you an instant ban.

- Group language is strictly only English (as per literature). SMS language such as u, frm, ur, whr, y, etc. is restricted. This rule is applicable to all texts, media, stickers, gifs etc. posted in the group.

- Use your words wisely. Don't disrespect, misbehave or harass any group member. Respect each other.

- Political or Religious propagandas are restricted.

- Flooding (single message in multiple threads, 2x images/media/stickers/gifs at once) will get immediate kick/ban.

- SPAMMERS STAY AWAY!! Do not forward or advertise the chat with link/s to other telegram groups/channels or other web links/addresses without pre-approval of one of the admins.

- Do not abuse bots.

- Do not send private messages to members unless requested/invited in the group. Report such activity or members who are bothering you. [Admins might ask you to show screenshot of the pm you are reporting.]

- Inviting members to any internet posts/pages/websites through links or web addresses must be approved by one of the admins first, all other posts will be removed without any notifications and might also get you a ban/restriction.

POST GUIDELINES

How do I submit a post in the group or for the channel and ensure to get review?

Please keep following points in mind when posting your write-up in the group or submitting it for the channel:

- Write a compelling title for the post

- Hashtag (#) the category such as #poetry #story #quote #article #micropoetry #essay #ShortStory

- Hashtag (#) your personal identifier such as #ra for Rajiv Anand

- Hashtag (#) for requesting everyone to check your post; use #everyone

- Hashtag (#) to get review for sure; use #review (all posts tagged with review is shared in @PensivePost where we feature the work of our group members), in case you don't want your work to be shared please use #noshare with your post.)

- Write any Author’s Note for readers (optional)

- Most importantly, you must review other member's work/s too if you are expecting reviews from them.


REVIEW GUIDELINES

How do I review posts/write-ups?

Critics are important for a better understanding and to keep growing. Writing reviews also gets you points that help you establish yourself in the group. Please keep the following in mind when writing a review:

Example: #yourreview This is mind boggling, I liked the narration as I could picture the story...

- Start writing your review with #yourreview in reply of the post tagged for #review

- Choose which aspect of the post you want to comment on.

- Identify a piece of writing that you think does either a good or a bad job of implementing the idea/meaning/message.

- Tell the writer what you did, or did not like in it.

- Try your best to explain why you think the write-up is either good or bad.

We welcome critics and request you to keep it constructive. Writers please take critics positively.


How do we enforce group/channel rules/policies?

We have a variety of ways of enforcing our rules, including, but not limited to:

- Asking you nicely

- Asking you less nicely

- Temporarily or permanently suspending you from our group/channel or network.

- Imposing restrictions to your account’s activity

- Removal of any or all your content

- Banning you permanently from the group/channel and its network

How do I report any misconduct or inappropriate content (by group member/s or admin/s)?

You can report by replying ‘@admin’ to that post. Also, you can talk to admin/creator in private or use our bot to report anonymously.

We expect your interaction in the group to be limited to the community’s interest only however, the below rules have been laid out to ensure that we achieve our respective objectives and the group flourishes and accomplishes the community interests.

» NSFW (including pornographic) content will be immediately removed and the poster will be removed/banned,

» Respect the purpose and objective of the group which is purely writing and related topics.

» Don’t use this group just to send memes, videos, pictures, stickers and unverified news/articles.

» Be clear in what you communicate 'cause your words can be interpreted in multiple ways.

General Fyi:

» Clicking on the outside web links shared by others, may get virus/trojans that might infect your PC/Mobile and even steal your private information.

» This group doesn't encourage you to share personal information hence you are solely responsible for the same.

» Feel free to report spam/block and report the person sending you PM from this group.
