He also dropped me off at the end of my driveway, would be wary of drivers expecting a high tip. I booked this shuttle service to pick up my parents from the airport. Their flight was delayed and woman on the phone told me they could not send a driver for the new pick up time. Not only that, they kept my money and told me no refunds. I was referred to this company. I needed a shuttle to EWR and the driver got me there long before my flight. My return flight arrived later in the evening and I wasn't certain where pickup was, as I'm not familiar with the airport, but the driver and dispatch made sure I was safe and waited until I got to the driver, because I was traveling alone, he had flashlight for safety, made sure I didn't leave anything behind on the shit I would use them again. I literally sat at JFK in tears because of this company. The shuttle was far later 1. I tried to address this with the company, and received limited responses despite 4 attempt to reach them. The response I did receive was full of excuses - sure, traffic can happen, but they knew my flight schedule ahead, and should plan accordingly else, why ask? I landed in JFK at p, and arrived home at p; this trip should have only been 4 hours, at most. Details: I landed at JFK at p, called at p and was given a time of p, which was fine because this was in the promised 2 hour window. At p, I was called by Wisla and notified that the driver was running late, and would not arrive until p. This was outside of the window, and being both exhausted and at the airport for 3 hours by that point, I was not happy. At p, I went to passenger pickup B at T4 as instructed and waited. At p, there was still no shuttle. I called, and the person I spoke with informed me to look for the shuttle by description; when I indicated if definitely was not there, they would contact the driver. At p, I still had no update, and called again. Someone answered, and when I started to explain what I was looking for, they hung up the call and did not answer my immediate return calls. I called again at p for another update. I was finally told that the driver was at other terminals, and would be there shortly. The driver arrived at p. After travelling from a 6a international flight, I was extremely unhappy with the service at this point. During the drive home, the driver spent most of his time on the phone, either scrolling through messages or taking personal calls. While I do not mind if a driver does not engage with passengers, I do not condone unsafe driving. Moreover, the use of a handheld device while driving in Connecticut is illegal. If the driver is expected to use the phone for a GPS feature, I would expect that is is mounted on a dashboard, not in the driver's lap or hands at any point. I did not address this directly with the driver because I did not trust the driver, needed to get home, and did not want to be left with an even worse or incomplete trip home. In summary, my problems were: 1. The shuttle was not within the 2 hour promised window. The shuttle was later than the time promised. I had to seek updates several times. The driving with not safe. I contacted the company via email on 07 Jan , detailing the above, requesting a refund of the service, and received no response. I contacted the company again on 09 Jan asking for a written response on confirmation of my first message. The company replied on 10 Jan , confirming the timeline I indicated was correct, and cited traffic and other passengers as the reason the shuttle was late. Instead of accepting my request for refund, they offered a future complimentary service. The use of the handheld device while driving was not addressed. I responded on 13 Jan reiterating my initial request for a refund, citing that the handheld device use made me too uncomfortable to ever use the service again. I additionally indicated the poor service and the frequency which I fly to and from JFK also meant this was not a viable solution, which is why I had requested the refund. On 16 Jan , I still had not received a response from the company, and asked for a response to my previous message. Well we made it to our hotel so that counts for something. It took more than four hours usually takes less than 3. The driver was not familiar with his route and made needless mistakes and had to turn around twice. He drove the entire time with one hand on the wheel and seemed to be shifting the transmission gear shift even though it is an automatic. He would drive along at 55 and then speed up to 75 with the engine roaring just in time to take a curve marked at 45 mph when he would then down shift to slow down. The van has a bad shock or poorly balance tires so was vibrating which added to the sense of reckless abandoned that got us here. After our holiday we are scheduled to return home with this same service. Already paid. I pray that it is better. Terrible service I had to wait for about an hour for my pick up and all the information I was given was a white van with number 6 while the van that showed up was blue with number 3. The person I spoke to over the phone was no help. I will never use their services and I certainly won't recommend it. We have used Wisla many times, we love the service the drivers are pleasant helpful and very dependable. The young women in the office are super knowledge and helpful.
