What is drain cleaning?

Many things can clog the drains in your home. Plant roots, feminine hygiene products and even toys can fall down the drain and cause blockages. Drain cleaning will be easier for a plumber if your home is equipped with drain cleaning devices.

What is drain cleaning?

The drain cleaner provides access to your main sewer line and is located outside your home in the front or back yard. Cleaning often goes unnoticed until there is a problem. They look like pipes with caps protruding a few centimeters from the ground.

When you have a backup drain in your home, a plumber can run a special camera through the cleaning area and into your main drain to pinpoint the problem. This is sometimes necessary if they have trouble clearing a blockage or if you have frequent problems.

Once the plumber knows the type and location of the blockage, the plumber can choose the correct sized blade to clear the blockage. Once the job was done, he would run the camera down the drain again to make sure the waste was completely removed.

But what if I don't have a drain? If you don't clean the drain, you can still delete the saves, but sometimes this can be more difficult. Plumbers have two options in this situation: access the drain pipe from the roof or from the toilet. Unfortunately, there is no option as effective as body cleansing. Option #1: Remove the sliding roof

The drain pipe is accessible from the roof, but it is difficult to get the camera through due to the many bends in the pipe. In most cases, the camera or drainage device cannot reach the main sewer line and the backup device cannot be removed.

Another problem is that it is more dangerous. It can also be dangerous for plumbers, especially in winter or in bad weather. There are times when it is too dangerous for our plumbers to walk on the roof. Option #2: Get rid of the toilet

If you can't afford to clean, removing the toilet may be your only option. This increases labor costs and the risk of damaging the toilet. Once the toilet is removed, the plumber can then use a flush to clear the blockage. However, the blockage may not be completely eliminated because the pipes underneath the toilet are smaller.

Both of these methods are less effective at removing clogs. You may continue to have problems and have to back up often because you don't know what's causing the problem.

Did the kids flush a toy car or are roots growing in your yard growing in your pipes? Often, plumbers cannot guarantee their job if they cannot fix drain problems through cleaning.

So what's the solution?

Every home is unique and there are several factors that come into play when deciding whether or not to install a cleaning service. A TLC licensed plumber can assess your plumbing needs and help you decide if this option is right for you. All in all, cleaning is a great option for the following reasons:

Prevent frequent emptying problems

You want to avoid bottlenecks instead of fixing them later. With drain cleaning, a plumber can tell you exactly what's causing problems and make recommendations to avoid them in the future. Other problems you don't know about can be detected early, before they become emergencies.

TLC offers a warranty for this type of work where cleaning is available. You can rest assured that the job is done correctly.

Purification specific cleaning

If a particular drain continues to cause you problems, you may want to install a cleaner specifically for that drain. Many new houses have been equipped with it; however, most older homes do not. With specific drain cleaning, repairs become much easier.

The home's resale value can be increased if the buyer requests a sewer inspection

Cleaning makes home inspections easier as the camera can be easily sent over the line. It gives potential buyers peace of mind about the condition of the plumbing. It can also reduce future sewer repair costs.
