Werewolf 4.3 September Updates 🐺

Grey Wolf Development
Hi Folks! After my long vacation, I've been silently coming back to the Beta Bot some days ago, and now I'm ready to come to every single village out there and start "borrowing" some roles of yours 😇 My earlier code diseases have been fixed, so I'm gonna come and start making some trouble now! I've also brought some game mechanics changes to confuse you all even more! You will not escape me (unless, of course, you turn me off 😢) Sincerely, The Thief 😈

Hey Wuffers, a new update has been released to the @werewolfbot! We kindly present you: 1 new role, 1 new achievement, and 1 change in game mechanics! Enjoy!

New Role

New Achievement

New Game Mechanic

New Role

The Thief 😈 (Thief Team - Solo, Cult Conversion Rate 0%)

The thief is a poor person with no profession, no possessions and nothing to do. The only thing (s)he is really good at is stealing. This is how (s)he managed to survive in this small village - up until now! The thief decided to get out of his misery now. In order to achieve this, (s)he can steal someone's role......

a) "Thief Full Game" ON:

..... every night. He or she has a 50% chance of successfully stealing someone's role, including their role model, used or unused abilities and number of bullets. If (s)he fails, nothing happens and (s)he can try again, but if (s)he succeeds - (s)he completely takes over his victim's life! In this progress, the victim loses their job, possessions, role model and abilities... And without all of that, they become the new Thief, ready for stealing another player's role the next night! If you are thief by the end of the game, you can't win (unless you are in a couple and your lover wins, of course). The Full-Game-Thief can NOT steal a Werewolf, Wolf Cub, Alpha Wolf, Lycan or Cultist - Trying to steal one of these roles will always result in failure. And if you are daring enough to try stealing the Serial Killer's role, he will most definitely stab you quicklier than you can count up to three...

b) "Thief Full Game" OFF

..... at the first night. He or she has a 100% chance of stealing someone's role, including their role model, used or unused abilities and number of bullets. The First-Night-Thief CAN also steal a Werewolf, Wolf Cub, Alpha Wolf, Lycan or Cultist. The serial killer will still be unmerciful and stab thieves around their home, though. In this mode, the thief is guaranteed to steal someone's role at the first night - if the original victim is already dead, the thief will steal a random player's role instead. The victim will not become a new thief however, but just a simple lowly villager with a field to plow.

New Achievement

Cult Team

Cult Leader - Be a cultist from the beginning of the game, survive and win.

New Game Mechanic

Changes to the Doppelgänger

After this update, the Doppelgänger will always become the CURRENT role of their role model. What has exactly changed? Before, the Doppelgänger became their role model's ORIGINAL role if the role model was converted to cult during the game, now the Doppelgänger will simply become a cultist too! Why was this change made? For two obvious reasons: Firstly, it just makes more sense. If the doppelgänger's role model decided to give their life up for following the cult, the doppelgänger will "copy" this decision after the role model's death too. Secondly, it fixes the bug with the thief, where a thief and a doppelgänger could spawn two same roles - which resulted in the game being buggy and the one or the other team being overpowered. With the "new" Doppelgänger, all this should not happen again.

We also applied general improvements and bug fixes as always. We hope you all enjoy the updates. If you do, and are able to support us financially, please donate to us. This allows us to keep our pricey servers running, and our bots alive. As a bonus, donating to us unlocks custom gif packs for the game :D (See this post for more info). Enjoy the updates and Happy Wuffing! 🐺
