In a move that has sent shockwaves through the professional wrestling world, WWE has announced the release of multiple superstars from its roster. The decision, confirmed earlier today, comes as part of what the company describes as 'ongoing evaluations of talent and budget considerations.'

Among the notable names reportedly released are Xavier Woods, a longtime member of the popular faction The New Day, and Shayna Baszler, a former NXT Women’s Champion known for her dominant in-ring style. Other talents said to be affected include mid-card performers and NXT call-ups who had struggled to gain consistent television time.

Fans took to social media to express their surprise, particularly regarding Woods’ departure, given his key role in one of WWE’s most merchandise-moving teams. The New Day, consisting of Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E, has been a fan favorite for nearly a decade.
