Fairly well made complete with a touch of velvet. Unfortunately my wife and I did not know each other during those treasured VALENTINE giving years. Oh well, that problem was more than taken care of with these wonderful Valentines. We haven't decided if we will actually pull out the cards and give them to each other or simply sit down by each other on the couch or our bed and look through and read them like a book. The important thing is she is my Valentine (whew) and I am thrilled to be her Valentine. A bargain for the joy they will bring you again and again.
First, this is a big book. I guess I thought it would be little, like a Little Golden book. It has such cute cards, and the flocking is a sweet touch. I bought two and plan to use them next Valentine's day :) A real 'blast from the past', and very nice quality. (I took the picture of it sitting on my laptop so you can see how big it is). Most of the cards don't have envelopes, but that isn't a game changer for me, as those are easily made with printer paper and a glue stick (lots of quick online tutorials). For the price you just can't beat it!

We LOVED these!! We still love them months later! I cannot believe the price is so low because these feel like authentic vintage Valentines! As if you were transported back to the 1930's and were a kid in school. My children loved them, as did I, and everyone who received them. Very sturdy and high quality! I hope to buy them every year! We purchased several for different kids in the family and they all loved them! Great gift for school age children and at an absolutely unbelievable price!
This wouldn't work super well to i use as Valentines cards to send to someone because the envelopes aren't really meant for that... but I was using mine to make a garland and it worked fine for that purpose. Vintage Valentines in antique stores can be expensive so this provided a cheaper alternative albeit not nearly as cool as the real thing.
These are very cute vintage Valentines - remind me so much of the ones we exchanged as children in grade school! Highly recommended.
This is the second time I have purchased these cards. I love the retro vibe to them . The first time I bought them, I gave them out to a kindergarten class I was working in and this year I am adding them to my grand kids gifts. The children on the cards have that old time look that I remember from when I was younger and many have cute animals like cats, dogs, bunnies, ducks, etc. They each have a small amount of red flocking on them too. I did a rough count as I had already punched some out, but I believe there are 24 or 25 cards. They are more suited for younger kids as I work with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and none of the boys (and some of the girls) would want to give these out as they would appear to be giving cards "not cool enough". My only reason for the four stars is the envelopes. There are only 8 and they do need to be made. I don't find making them to be a problem as they are on paper that has the weight of a piece of copy paper and the lines are simple to cut out, fold and glue (using a glue stick). I just can't figure out why there are only 8. Each envelope has a cute picture printed in red (for both front and back of envelope) and I suppose that you could use your own printer and print out more as you can get two envelopes out a one sheet of paper. Your second option would be to just cut cards out of copy paper, fold, glue and put a Valentine's sticker on the envelope if you want it decorated too. I personally think these are much sweeter than some of the cheap ones that are in the stores now. I know that is my opinion, but after collecting vintage Valentine's for years, I have developed an appreciation for how adorable they once were with all their flocking and glitter, etc.

There was a real charm and sweetness with Valentines from the 1950s and 60s. These colorful reproductions are a throwback to those times where Valentines were bright, colorful and often decked with silver glitter or red flocking. This collection has red flocking accenting the Valentines. A reviewer commented the Valentines were small, but these aren't. They are a generous size; most are fairly large. I find the modern, cartoon-themed valentines to be much, much smaller; they lack the charm and cuteness of these vintage Valentines. I wish these had been available when my son was younger, because I would have used these instead of the tiny cartoon-themed ones. We were so pleased with these Valentines that we ordered two more sets of these. We plan on using these for my son's friends and my aunt will be using the other sets to create a Valentine-themed decoration. The price is so low for what you get and the quality. They are printed on thick coated card stock. Like the Valentines I remember as a child, they also have a red and white picture on the back. Some of the Valentines can be folded to look like envelopes. Some of the Valentines have two pieces you put together for a more dimensional look. There's a large tri-fold Valentine and others that have a single fold. All the designs are so cute and reproduced from actual vintage Valentines. You won't go wrong buying these; they would be fun to give out to friends and relatives.

Beautiful Flocked Valentines
I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of this book. You have to punch out and put together all the valentines and envelopes which is something I appreciate. There are the nicest Valentines I’ve ever bought! I love the Golden Book company!

Low price, high value. Cannot find in stores! Super easy to follow instructions and no duplicate cards, all different. Loves making the envelopes. The review that said not enough envelopes its because some are designed not to need envelopes. I would rate this 100 out of 10 if I could!!!!!!! A MUST have!!!!!
Super fun book of cutout Valentines just like I had about 147 years ago when I was a kid! Lovely quality, really cute designs, excellent value. Some are flocked, which makes them even more special. A great purchase, really happy to have found this on Amazon. Can't bet the price of less than $7CDN. Suitable for kids as Valentines but also good for card-making, collages, framing projects, etc., for all ages. Lovely!
