Let's get together for food, drink, live performance - fun social events that can spark conversation, create connection, and help build community.
Note that "food, drink, live performance" means there is usually some cost involved in participating, whether it's the cost of a coffee, a meal, a cocktail, or a ticket.
This is an inclusive group, with no membership fee and no age restrictions aside from 19+. While we're defined as a women's meetup, we use an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome all trans, genderqueer, and non-binary people.
That said, please read the following carefully before joining.
The top three reasons membership requests are declined:
1. A problem with your profile photo.
Your profile photo must be an actual photograph, one that clearly shows your face - and only your face, no other people - without sunglasses, without filters or special effects, and facing the camera. This adds a layer of safety and helps us recognize each other when meeting for the first time.
2. A problem with your profile name.
Please use the name you wish to be addressed as, whether that’s your real name, a nickname, or your chosen name. In other words, if it's not a name we can holler at you across a room when you're standing at the entrance looking lost and trying to find us, your membership request will be declined.
3. You're located somewhere other than Victoria, BC.
This group is for folks located in Victoria, or near enough that traveling to events regularly is possible. Membership requests from people located too far away will be declined, even if you have a visit planned or you intend to move here someday. Talk to us after you've moved and you're here permanently.
If privacy is a concern, remember that this is a private group. Only other members will ever see your membership status and profile, including your name and photo.

Yes, a brand specifically built on making women feel more sexually appealing is getting rid of its supermodels and is bringing in the woke spectrum squad to appeal to the squeals of the leftist mob.
The brand is hiring a list of spokeswomen not to model the brand's lingerie, but to promote the brand through podcast and other marketing materials, according to Page Six. That list includes Rapinoe, Chopra, model Adut Akech, skier Eileen Gu, transgender model Valentina Sampaio, plus-size model Paloma Elesser and journalist Amanda de Cadenet, the outlet reported.
The group will be featured in a 10-episode podcast where they will each share their own story.
"When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond," said chief executive Martin Waters. "We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want."
Apparently, included in what women want is to be represented by radical feminist lesbians and biological males!

Victoria De Angelis was born in Rome on 28 April 2000. Her father, Alessandro De Angelis, is Italian, her mother was Danish.
Victoria grew up in Monteverde, a chic and calm neighbourhood in Rome, where she attended school and high school. Her mother taught her Danish, a language Victoria also spoke during her holidays in Denmark.
Her friends and the Maneskin members call her Vic.
In an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera , Victoria said: “I started playing the guitar instinctively at the age of eight. Three years later, when I took classes in school, my (female) teacher always criticized me because of my position. On a few occasions, I could test the bass guitar.” She loved the sound of the bass.
Victoria was inspired by various female bassists like Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, Suzi Quatro and The Slits. “I admire women who did important things in a field in which male attitudes prevail,” Victoria said.
As a teenager, Victoria was fond of Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, David Bowie, Kurt Cubain, Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne.
When she was 14, Victoria had panic attacks. She couldn’t get out of the house anymore and lost a school year. She opted for a psychotherapy. “I used to feel ashamed of my panic attacks, but I don’t hide it anymore,” she said in an interview with Elle Italy .
Today, she’s a very self-confident young woman, but she doesn’t see herself as a role model. She said that would be an arrogant attitude.
Victoria’s mother died of cancer when her two daughters were still teenagers. Their Danish grandmother revealed it to a Danish newspaper. Victoria never spoke publicly about her mother’s death. Victoria and Thomas Raggi were the first two members of Maneskin, even though the duo had no name at that time. They were in high school when they decided to look for a singer and a drummer to found a band. They tested various singers and even had a female singer, but she lived outside Rome and often couldn’t attend the rehearsal sessions.
Victoria was the one who suggested Maneskin as the band’s name after Damiano and Ethan joined the group. The Danish word maneskin means moonlight.
Many people assume that Victoria is in a relationship with Maneskin’s lead singer Damiano David. They’ve never been a couple, but they have a very special relationship, which you also see during their performances on stage. “We’re more than brother and sister, we’re more than friends,” says Victoria.
In various interviews, Victoria De Angelis said that she’s bisexual and that she’s attracted to both men and women.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan Italy , Vic said that she’s a big fan of Harry Styles: «He’s stylish, he’s modern and wears ’60s and ’70s outfits, which I love.”
In November 2021, Maneskin opened for The Rolling Stones in Las Vegas. At the age of 14, Victoria had wanted to attend the Rolling Stones concert at the Circo Massimo in Rome. “I didn’t have tickets, so I just went there and tried to sneak in from the barriers. It didn’t really work, but I saw them performing a couple of songs!”, she said in an interview with the U.S. magazine Variety .
Victoria has a younger sister called Veronica, who has dark hair and brown eyes. Their father, Alessandro De Angelis, runs a travel agency in Rome.
According to several Italian newspapers, Victoria’s father is the CEO of Maneskin Empire, the company that manages the revenue of the band (concerts, sponsoring, merchandise, image rights).
In August 2021, Vic appeared in an Yves Saint Laurent beauty commercial as an influencer ( video ).
In January 2022, Maneskin announced that they would have to postpone their European indoor tour dates due to the coronavirus pandemic. On 22 March, they published the new programme of their Loud Kids Tour 2022/23, which will start in the United States on 31 October 2022.
In March and April 2022, Maneskin spent a few weeks in California recording new songs.
Victoria De Angelis continues to make waves by posting topless pictures of herself on Instagram. While some of her (male) fans are delighted, many comment that her pictures are one big yawn. “She’s such a conformist,” writes an Italian woman on Youtube. “Nudity was even outdated when Woodstock took place. If Victoria wanted to make a difference as an artist, she would have kept her clothes on.”

On 22 March 2022, the day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy addressed the Italian Parliament, Maneskin finally showed their solidarity with the Ukraine in an Instagram post . On 9 April, they posted a 15-second video of their new single Dancing on Gasoline (see our article below).
On 13 May 2022, Maneskin released their new song Supermodel without any official video. On 14 May 2022, the band performed the song at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy (see video below).
On 20 May 2022, Maneskin performed Supermodel at Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight’s Show without Victoria, who was ill. She was replaced by Jimmy Fallon who was wearing a blonde wig ( video ).

Maneskin’s Supermodel video, which was shot in London, was released on 31 May 2022, more than two weeks after the release of the new song. It is very similar to the Mamma Mia video, especially the second part. And to be honest: the four band members and the model, a copy of the young Amber Valletta, are awful actors. Victoria, who’s wearing a (fake) Gucci fur coat in spring, is running around like a hungry werewolf with her mouth wide open! Is this a remake of American Werewolf ?

Britain's Queen Victoria's sordid love affairs and astonishingly high sexual libido have been unveiled in a new TV documentary.
The queen, who died in January 1901 aged 81, has always been portrayed as a sexually and emotionally repressed monarch, but the fascinating British TV documentary 'Queen Victoria's Men' shows she was actually extremely keen on both men and sex.
After marrying her cousin, Prince Albert, she recounted their passionate wedding night in a letter.
She said: "It was a gratifying and bewildering experience. I never, never spent such an evening. His excessive love and affection gave me feelings of heavenly love and happiness. He clasped me in his arms and we kissed each other again and again."
Historian Tristam Hunt revealed Victoria was incredibly fond of making love to Albert.
He added: "She enjoyed the physical side of their relationship - but rarely the consequences. At one point, she had nine children under 15 and deeply resented the physical and emotional repercussions of child-bearing, because pregnancy and babies got in the way of sex."
To avoid their children interrupting any passionate trysts, Victoria instructed Albert to install a switch by her bedside which activated mechanical locks on the bedroom door.
However, after Albert's death in 1861, Victoria went into mourning until she employed Albert's friend John Brown as her personal assistant.The pair's close relationship caused the public to nickname Victoria 'Mrs. John Brown' and also sparked a hit 1997 movie starring Judi Dench and Billy Connolly.Victoria also became close to Benjamin Disraeli when he was appointed prime minister of England in 1868. She bought him many gifts, which he thanked her with through seductive poetry.Victoria's affairs continued when she became the Empress of India at the age of 68 and met a young Indian servant called Abdul Karim, who taught her about his culture and his native language of Hindustani.When Victoria died in 1901, she instructed staff to bury her in her wedding dress with a cast of Albert's hand next to her and a photograph of John Brown next to her.It was recently discovered she was wearing Brown's mother's wedding ring when she was buried, sparking rumours she married Brown before her death.However, Hunt disagrees with the reports, insisting: "There was a deep, powerful connection between them, but for all her sensuality and passion, and need of a man, she could never have loved another after Albert."'Queen Victoria's Men' is on Channel 4 on Monday at 9pm.
