TRANSFER DETAILS
Please note that the property is only accessible by the following modes of transfer:
1. Seaplane transfer takes 50 minutes from Male International Airport. The return rates for shared seaplane transfer are:
Adult (12 years and above): USD 1035 per adult, round trip, inclusive of all taxes
Child (2-11 years): USD 518 per Child, round trip, inclusive of all taxes
Infant (below 2 years): No charge
Private seaplane transfer may also be arranged at USD 9993 per flight per way (maximum 14 guests) inclusive of all taxes.
Due to the aviation restriction in Maldives, seaplane aircraft are operated only during day light between 6 am to 5 pm. Guests arriving after 3:30 pm or departing before 9 am are required to stay overnight in Male’ city before and after the international flight.
In order to be able to arrange for transfers from and to Male International airport, please kindly advise us your flight details at least 14 days prior to your arrival.
If flight details are provided less than 05 days prior to the travel date, please be advised that the property will not be able guarantee best connection. For such cases, sometimes, guests might have to arrive to & depart from another Island nearby. Additional charges may apply if we are to arrange additional transfer between Velaa and another Island.
Seaplane cancellation: No-show or cancelled after 72 hours will occur 100% cancellation fee.
There is a luggage allowance of 20kg per person, plus 5kg of hand luggage. For private seaplane, maximum luggage allowance is 300 Kg. Any excess baggage is chargeable at USD 5.60 per 1kg, which can be paid directly to the seaplane company upon check-in at the seaplane terminal. Excess baggage might be carried on the next available flight on the same day or on the following day.
The Carrier will make their best efforts to ensure no more than one stop is encountered during the transfer to and from Velaa Private Island. Carrier will use its best endeavors to ensure that arriving passengers are departing from the seaplane airport within 2 hours from the time they check in at seaplane terminal, subject to the international connection landing on the time published (STA), and to the passengers clearing arrival procedures and reporting to the seaplane check in desk within 1 hour from the landing of the international flight.
