Manual entirely dedicated to UNO, the popular card game from Mattel Inc.

Inside this manual, you will be able to read the descriptions of every command and rule in the game.

JOIN THE OFFICIAL GROUP

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

The game is mainly made up of colored cards (red, yellow, green or blue) and numbered from 0 to 9, with the addition of special cards that allow you to vary the game in different ways (Skip, Reverse, +2, Colorchooser, +4).

A standard deck consists of 108 cards

Cards can be discarded one at a time, based solely on the color, number or symbol of the previous card on the board, with the exception of black special cards (not playable as the last card).

The player who first manages to exhaust all the cards in his or her hand wins.


Within the group, start a new game via /new and/or join it with the /join command.

After at least 2 players have joined, start the game via the /start command.


Type @UnoDemoBot (without sending) or alternatively click on the “via @UnoDemoBot” next to the messages.

You will now be able to see your cards and additional options such as: “Draw”, “Pass”, “Call Bluff” and “Info” to view details of the current game.

The “Double Play” allows you to discard two twin cards when possible, while the “Placeholder” serves as a holder for the options to draw or pass when they are not available.

Obscured cards are those that you cannot currently play. If you have difficulty identifying the color, you can hold down on the obscured card in question to display the emoji of the associated color.

If you suspect that a +4 was played bluffing, that is, when the opponent was holding one or more cards of the same color as the previous play, you can move toward the player of the +4 an actual charge.

If the card was played correctly, the one who moved the charge must draw 6 cards.

Otherwise, it is the one who played the card illegally who must draw 4 cards. The turn, at that point, will return to the hands of the one who made the accusation.

N.B. The bluffing rule also applies to +8 cards.


When you're playing two or more simultaneous games, the group title shows up on top of your cards. Click on it and you'll get redirected to the bot, giving you the option to choose the group where to play.


Players may join a game that has already started only if the lobby has been opened via /open by the game creator or an admin.

In case someone takes more than 90 seconds to play, you can use the /skip function to skip that particular player.

Use the /leave command to leave the game.

If you wish to access your cards more quickly, you can pin the message generated by the hidden /shortcut command.


To change the game mode, the game creator, after issuing the /join command, must type @UnoDemoBot and choose from the available options:

• Standard rules and no auto-skip

– Sending /uno before the start activates the obligation to declare "UNO!" manually
– When enabled, select the appropriate inline result after playing the penultimate card in hand
– If this action is not taken within 8 seconds, 2 penalty cards are assigned to the player

• Auto-skip after 45 seconds and game over after the 1st win

• Duplicated number of cards and range of regular cards reduced from 1 to 5

• Eight starting cards, a pair of +8 cards and the inability to display the number of other people's cards

• Two new colors (purple and orange) and range of regular cards reduced from 1 to 6

• One in ten chance (constantly decreasing) of receiving 3 extra cards for each turn you draw (max 5 times per game)

• Bluff rule not present, addable +4 and +2 cards (in case of matching color) and stackable Colorchoosers

• Altered set of cards (0 not included) and three special cards

– The +1 instantly assigns a card to each opponent
– The Swap exchanges your hand with the next player's (cancellable with /cancel)
– The Drop reshuffles your hand cards into the deck, drawing the same number again (cancellable with /cancel)

• Bluff rule not present and 8 Diablo cards (multicolor) playable in any situation

• Altered set of cards (0-9, +2) and three special features

– Xeno: color changer (random) that forces you to play a card of the color set by the bot
– Alpha: single-color cards with no matching symbols
– X-Rule: a card is allowed to be played so that the sum of the values (card on the table + card played) results in 5

• Altered set of cards (1-9, +2, Reverse, Skip) and a total of 8 Nitro cards

– The Nitro card features the ability to change color randomly
– The following player must draw 1 to 5 cards, depending on luck
– However, the mentioned player is required to respond with a die roll (available with /roll)
– If the result is 1, the draw cards will be automatically assigned to the player who played the Nitro
– Furthermore, following the die roll, the roller will always have an extra countermove turn
– It's allowed to play 2 cards with the same color and symbol consecutively (excluding Nitro), by clicking on the appropriate icon beforehand

• Points game in which the cards left in the hands of the losing players are counted

• 2 vs 2 team match

– The team is determined by the order in which the players join (1st and 3rd vs 2nd and 4th)
– In addition to personal cards, you can view your teammate's cards
– Duo victory is decreed by the player who first manages to discard all available cards

• A copy of the Team mode, having only one difference: victory is conferred only in case of double closing

• Special game

– The minimum number of participants is 8 players, and there is also an automatic skip after 180 seconds
– The match ends after the victory of the third place finisher, with the awarding of gold, silver, and bronze medals
– Skip is replaced by the Superskip, a useful card to skip all the following players
