The Cordillera Huayhuash is a small mountain system in the central Peru, unique in the beauty of its landscapes and the amazing shapes of its ice peaks.

Multi-colored lakes on the trekking route in the Cordillera Huayhuash

Trekking "Alpine Circuit in Cordillera Huayhuash" is quite hard but exceptionally beautiful route in stunning mountains, which passes literally at the very foot of the world-famous and most beautiful peaks of the Cordillera Huayhuash

Siula, Yerupaja Chica and Grande - a group of highest peaks of the Cordillera Huayhuash

To see such beauty so close, to feel all the power and attraction of these colossal giants - this is indeed a very worthy goal, which can be achieved by completing the trekking route Cordillera Huayhuash Alpine Circuit.

The Cordillera Huayhuash Alpine Circuit not only gives you the opportunity to have a look at the fantastic peaks from the best view points, but also allows you to satisfy your sporting mountaineering ambitions.

The Cordillera Huayhuash Alpine Circuit runs along a line above which only the most difficult mountaineering routes begin

Climbing technically difficult passes along the trekking route can be an alternative to several alpine climbs of moderate difficulty.

And given the obvious shortage of the mountain routes available for climbing in this mountain location, a ring trek with elements of mountaineering can be considered as the best option for a close acquaintance with the fantastic summits of the Cordillera Huayhuash.

On the route of the Cordillera Huayhuash Alpine Circuit

The Cordillera Huayhuash Alpine Circuit trekking route goes via rather difficult mountain passes and involves overcoming technically complex forms of mountainous terrain - glaciers, steep rocky and grassy slopes.

Participants in this trekking program are required to be able to deal with climbing equipment - basically crampons and ice axe, be in good physical shape, be required to have mountaineering experience (in general, climbing Mont Blanc would be sufficient)
