We purchased English version of the show but it turned out to be a Polish version with a lady translating live through an ear device. She tried to do her best but the translation wasn't very good because the speed of the show was too fast for her to translate. My English only speaking kids were very confused as the jokes couldn't be translated properly and made no sense. Also, English speaking group was bigger than Polish group and we had to all fit at one table and had very little room to enjoy the experience. The lady in the second room decorating cookies was super nice and spoke both languages. Overall it was a nice show but not for non Polish speakers. Loved the gingerbread workshop! The staff at the museum are super friendly and helpful. This was such a fun activity in Torun! We highly recommend it. We were only able to get a ticket for a tour in Polish, but the staff members went out of their way to include us. They were great! We were impressed with the behavior of about 70 school aged kids who were also taking the tour. The staff kept us all engaged and entertained, and we learned a lot about gingerbread! It was a good experience discovering how hinger bread is made for foreigners there is English employees and also a translator we spend a good time there and the guys were so funny so i recommend. I was quite disappointed. The window opens 15 minutes before the full hour you can also buy online. The English show is actually a person translating to you on the spot through a headset device. It was okay, probably really good for kids. I really enjoyed the workshop, staff were very friendly and making the experience really fun. Though, I felt that the witch actress was a little less motivated and energetic, I still enjoyed the show. Everything was planned really well, not a single moment of this workshop was boring. I feel really disappointed about piernik gingerbread itself. Staff warn you, that it's not edible and it'll soon harden, so you'll have it as a souvenir. It's been a month since the workshop and that gingerbread is still soft, not even close to the rock hard one the staff showed us :. Ginger bread master and merchant were the best. They even tried to use old, medieval polish pronunciation, that was a lot of fun. Apart from that we enjoyed producing our own ginger bread as seen in the posted picture. We were also amised by group guessing the quiz on 'my friends what is the spice that I am presenting to you right now', and also the dodgy question: 'what spice used during the ginger bread manufacturing is a root spice? They seem to be in traditional dress. A young 15 year old black girl was given 3 pepper corns by the witch to buy her wedding out fit those were the days. Told she was getting on and to hurry up with her wedding but the peppercorns were expensive like other ingredients at the time. Only certain seats are available for visitors with headphones. Only two activities for the kids that require manual skills something that the kids always enjoy and thus queues to these two tables. I fels stuck in there for way too long. I asked the member of staff, that was just standing there gazing at his phone rather than being of any assistance, if that was it and he responded that there was another room but we never got there or even get the option to go there. Not to mention, that the staff was rude towards my children asking them, not in a polite manner, not to play whilst we were waitng 25 mins to enter the Mars Base 17 exp. There is NOTHING for the kids to 'kill the time' whilst waiting there and only inexperienced and child-free person would expect the children to stand still in the queue. All staff seemed unhappy and not customer-oriented. Toilets were good and clean excpet one that was blocked. Do not recommend for foreigners. The sound in headphones for the English version is too loud, no direct solution to make it quiet. I began to worry about my sense of hearing and left before the end of the show. Comfortable seating and good show except that I couldn't understand a word I don't speak Polish. During the ticket booking it is not clear that a translation audio has to be added. Be there at least 10 mins ahead as you need special seats for the translation devices. Show was only available in polish. There was no way to change to an option with english and staff was in general very unhelpful. This was a disgrace. On the ticket or website it does not tell you that it will only be in polish and you have to pay again for an English option. Funny in a town aimed at tourism to find this sort of attitude. I was in a group of people and we told them the we were 10min late cause we came all the way from Poznan witch Is more than 2 hours drive away, when we arrived the staff just told US really rudely that the show had already started and that we couldn't get in even if we said that we were going to be a little late. Really the worst and mist infurating expirience. If you are planning to go with up to 6 years olds - dont. Movie about Lajka was just a mistake. Some kids were crying, some kids were sleeping, some jest went out. Movie was really boring even for 5 year old. Great place for families with children. Movies are designed for children without too many scientific facts so it can be enjoyable for them. There is no cloakroom there what is a pity but from the projection people are coming out directly to the street. Make sure you have your mask on as many people ignore the risk and do not wear it inside coughing in the tight interiors. If you reserve your ticket online you have to buy it earlier than 15 minutes before the projection or you will loose it. Gorgeous location and statue! I found it very interesting that it is written in Latin as not to upset the Polish nor the German writing citizens. Best seen at night or early morning before the crowds. The only place where Copernicus is standing as he is the host. Especially Copernicus monuments and university.
