A guy arrives in the emergency room in cardiac arrest. The heart massage has been going on for some time now, the doctor continues to press on his chest and begins to undress him. She cuts the shirt and attaches the electrodes to her chest. The rhythm is shockable and she therefore uses the defibrillator. Her heart resumes, albeit with a slight arrhythmia. The doctor continues to undress the guy, until he is completely naked. The heart goes off the fibrillation again until it stops. The compressions resume on the naked body, getting stronger and faster. After several cycles of defibrillation, compressions and ambu bagging, the heart remains in fibrillation. The doctor is desperate, so she decides to use an alternative method. She sees the patient’s erection and decides to masturbate him. The guy’s body leaps. The heart resumes a strong but shockable rhythm. The doctor places the plates again on the guy’s chest and she unloads until the rhythm returns to regular. Her strategy worked.
Suddenly, another nurse come named Aika come along to play with her.

Trans dude was using a TENS machine on his shoulders, when it malfunctioned and sent a strong electrical current through his heart. Paramedics are called, and they attempt to treat him with nasal oxygen and defibrillation.

This is one of my earliest memories having to do with resuscitation. I also remember seeing Eliot with EKG electrodes on and wanting to be in his position.
Mercy Trauma received a 32 y/o male who collapsed at home secondary to heat stroke, patient arrested on scene, was found by wife who was an ER nurse at Mercy.. She gave CPR and used the AED prior to EMS arrival, and was able to restore a pulse, however he was not showing any signs of breathing. EMS intubated on scene and rushed the patient to the ER.. Pulse was stable upon arrival, BP 90/75 with a temp of 104.2
Upon first examination the doctor noticed how warm the patient was and knew he needed cold IV fluids and ice around the groin to help cool him down.. His running shorts were cut off and he was put on a vent to help provide oxygen as the trauma team worked to stabilize the man.
After getting his shorts off they put him in a gown and he remained stable.. the ICU was called and they were preparing to transport him to rest when suddenly….
CODE BLUE…. CODE BLUE!!! The man fell into a sudden arrest triggered by the shock of the events of that afternoon… the Doctor quickly began compressions as they rushed him back to the trauma room and got a crash cart surrounding him..
Finally 2 minutes into the code the monitor showed a weak vfib and they were getting the pads prepped as they pushed epi into the IV to help stimulate the mans heart to beat… They pulled the vent and started manual bagging of the man to make sure he got the oxygen he needed…
They sent a shock into his chest at 200 joules… but it did no good, and sadly the man went back into asystole…
Compressions and epi are resumed on the young man as they tried to get him to respond.. He has been down for 3 minutes now…
