Prologue: The Weight of the Past

Five years after leaving the Fireflies’ hospital, Joel and Ellie have settled in Jackson, Wyoming. The town thrives under Tommy’s leadership, but Ellie struggles with the truth Joel hid from her—the fact that her immunity could have saved humanity. Their bond is strained, but they still protect each other fiercely.

Episode 1: 'Old Wounds'

A patrol led by Ellie and Joel encounters a group of survivors from Seattle—former Fireflies. Among them is Nora, a medic who recognizes Ellie. When Nora reveals she knows about the failed cure, Ellie’s anger resurfaces. That night, she sneaks out of Jackson, leaving Joel a note:
'I need answers. Don’t follow me.'

Episode 2: 'The Road to Seattle'

Ellie travels west, facing infected and hostile scavengers. Meanwhile, Joel, guilt-ridden, disobeys her wishes and follows with Tommy. Along the way, they cross paths with Abby Anderson, a muscular, determined woman searching for someone. She helps them fend off a horde, but her motives are unclear.

Episode 3: 'The Wolf and the Serpent'

In Seattle, Ellie infiltrates the Washington Liberation Front (WLF), a militarized faction at war with a cult called the Seraphites. She learns the Fireflies have regrouped in Santa Barbara. Meanwhile, Abby tracks Joel, revealing herself as the daughter of the surgeon he killed in Salt Lake City.

Episode 4: 'Reckoning'

Abby ambushes Joel and Tommy, capturing them. Ellie arrives too late—Joel is brutally beaten, but before Abby can kill him, a Seraphite attack forces her to flee. Ellie drags Joel to safety, but his injuries are severe. In his final moments, he whispers:
'I’d do it all over again.'

Episode 5: 'The Cycle'

Consumed by grief, Ellie vows revenge. She hunts Abby through Seattle’s war-torn streets, facing WLF soldiers and infected. Meanwhile, Abby, haunted by her actions, questions her own mission.

Episode 6: 'The Beach'

Ellie corners Abby on a stormy Santa Barbara beach. Their fight is brutal, but at the last moment, Ellie hesitates—seeing in Abby the same pain she carries. She lets her go, realizing revenge won’t bring Joel back.

Epilogue: 'What Remains'

Ellie returns to Jackson, but her home feels hollow. She picks up Joel’s old guitar, but her injured fingers can’t play. As she walks into the sunset, the screen fades to black with the faint sound of a whistled tune—'Future Days.'
