This was my introduction to the comic book version of the TMNT and I absolutely loved it. Much grittier than the animated series of the 80's so I blew my mind to see my favorite superheroes drinking beer and actually using their bladed weapons on something other than robotic foot soldiers. They fought to win. The ninja way. I recommend giving this a look over.
I read this when I was a kid, and loved the story and the art. It is a great book, it isn't the same turtles you see in the cartoons, these are a bit more gritty and dark. I wouldn't recommend it for small kids, but older kids and adults will love it.
This graphic novel is a reprint of several old issues of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and was the basis for the first TMNT movie. If you've seen the movie, you'll know how a lot of this goes - one of the turtles is ambushed (though here it is Leo, where in the movie it was Raph) and April's apartment gets trashed, and the Turtles head off into the country to at an old, dilapidated home (this time, April's instead of Casey's) in Northampton, Massachusetts (the birthplace of TMNT). The story moves quickly, and is continued elsewhere, so you won't get the end here, nor the beginning. But the dialogue is crisp, and the artwork is excellent (if a bit simple). It's an enjoyable read, in the end, which is really all that matters. It takes itself more seriously than the movie did, and is a bit more adult overall, especially with such scenes as April having post-traumatic nightmares about the Shredder.
this graphic novel collect the original black and white issues no 10-12 in glorious full colour. The story revolves around x-mas celeberations at april o'neals place. Leo is out excercising, when he gets ambushed by the foot. They apparent discover where these guys are holed up and crash in. This marks the return of shredder, though no explanation is offered. Also, Casey Jones gets into the fight, again, with no clear idea being offered to the reader who he is, or how he knows the turtles.With april's place thrashed, there is a loss of spirit amongst aveyone, and teh rest of the book deals withhow they cope with it. This is a pretty good book, with great art and action. The writing in the latter part of the book is better than usual. Recommended, probably along with the three preceeding books in the series.
Eine wahnsinnig tolle und spannende Story. Ich kann Turtles Fans nur empfehlen sich die 4 Ausgaben dieser Softcover books von Eastman und Laird zu besorgen. Man sollte beachten welche Edition man kauft ab der 3. sollte man nicht mehr als 10€ pro Augabe bezahlen.

These repros play identical to the original game but use all new parts, so you're guaranteed many, many years of enjoyment without it breaking down. Original games are generally 'well used' and may or may not last very long. Plus generally require a lot of cleaning, and who knows if the board has started to corrode inside that game shell? New batteries for game saves (where applicable) mean you're not going to lose your saved game anytime soon. They look almost identical to the original games, so you can proudly display them in your collection. Cost much less than the original games Products ONLY ever ship from Canada or the U.S.!!
