This is suck a fun piece of music tech. I have it sitting next to me on my desk and pick it up to play with it in my downtime at work. I love the beats I can make. Highly recommend it!

To protect my TE product. Except for encasing it in plexiglass, but then I couldn't push the buttons or replace the batteries.

Fits my PO-32 Tonic perfectly. Not sure if it will fit a PO-33. Gives my PO-32 a little more protection and guards against accidental splashes. Even has a small hole cut in the top right corner for the mic. Like the feel of the case and helps to keep it from sliding around on the table when I'm manipulating the buttons and knobs in real time. The only downside(s) are that it is a bit pricey (paying $40 to protect a $90 device), and because the case is soft rubber, it will tend to pick up lint, dust, and pet hair, so don't use it while you're mixing pancake batter.

perfect fit for PO-32 Tonic

By RV on July 14, 2019

First of all, ignore the reviews saying this doesn’t fit the Pocket Operator. It is an exact, tight fit that requires seating the edges of the PO into slots in this silicone case. Once on, the unit feels more secure and protected. It is a little pricey, but I don’t think there are any alternatives out there. Totally glad I bought it.

This doesn't fit my po33 very well, its hard rubber and I'd have to stretch hard and possibly break the po33 to get it to fit. I don't like it at all

I own a 33 and 32 and these cases are perfect, though it takes a discerning touch to fit them. My wife blessed me with two more POs so I am back. Don’t let price weeping deter you, this is THE case.

I bought this to protect my PO-33, and went ahead and snapped off the hanging tab that comes with the PO-33 so it could fit. But it doesn't fit. I understand the CA-X needs to be snug, because this is not an enclosed case (REPEAT, this is not an enclosed case. If you are buying this as a recommended item, take a moment to look at the full design and realize that this case in no way protects against fluids coming into contact with the battery) however it and my PO-33 are made to different tolerances. I am used to having to cram iOS devices into waterproof silicone cases, so it's not like I gave up quickly. The PO-33 just kept popping out over and over and when I resorted to using a blunted bamboo skewer to pull the case over the corners it began to tear, so I stopped. For the given price the CA-X should provide a modicum of protection and fit the products it was designed for. On the whole, I think this will be the last teenage engineering product I buy.

Decent, but expensive…

This case is nice enough, and is a good way to protect your Teenage Engineering devices (of which I have many). However, I can't help but feel that the price is a little too high for what it is. It's just a very simple silicone case.

Not worth it.

Only protects the front of the unit. I do not feel comfortable chucking this in a bag, or even the same pocket as anything else because the lack of protection will result in damage. Very expensive for a silicon front.

I would much rather have this on my po33 than it being straight from the box as very fragile. Does the job well :)

Doesn't protect the screen. Nice buttons

Great case although expensive and doesn't offer protection to the most fragile part of the PO, the screen. Would buy again

Pocket music gadgets don't get much better than this

The best music gadget I bought all year. Having tons of fun with it.

Teenage Engineering’s new PC case is gorgeous, expensive... and bendable / Dripping in style, but don’t bend it incorrectly
With the GPU mounted at the top of the case, we’re a little concerned with the Computer-1’s air flow. Teenage Engineering

Teenage Engineering, a design company that dabbles in everything from synthesizers to helping build the Playdate gaming handheld , has made its first computer case. It’s called Computer-1. It’s a bold orange case that’s made for mini-ITX-sized motherboards, which are reserved for small form factor builds. Like most of the company’s products, it’s not exactly affordable at $195 . But that might not be an obstacle if you’re a sucker for a case that’s dripping in color and unique style.
The Computer-1 case is made with powder-coated aluminum and has chrome handles, which makes it look a bit like Apple’s most recent Mac Pro desktop chassis. Though, unlike that computer, this case comes unassembled. It arrives in a flat pack, like most Ikea products. Not only will you have to build your computer, complete with motherboard and components, but you’ll literally have to bend some of this case’s pieces into shape. Its assembly guide (PDF) warns you to “think twice, bend once,” so no pressure there with your $195 case.
In case you can’t tell from the images, the Computer-1 is tiny . The dimensions with the chrome handles attached are 6.69 x 7.48 x 12.67 inches (WxDxH), which roughly translates to 10 liters of capacity. You’ll need an especially tiny GPU to fit inside. It has a limit of 180mm in length for graphics cards, and few modern models are actually that small. Basically, you’ll need a single-fan graphics card , so forget about building an RTX 3080 system in this compact case. Even the RTX 3060 card that we reviewed is too big.
The layout of this case raises some concerns around airflow. Since heat rises and GPUs typically pull in fresh air, it’s not clear why Teenage Engineering designed the case with the GPU at the top instead of the bottom. We assume that the company has tested airflow, but it’s a bit of a red flag for a case this costly.
You’ll need a SFX power supply to fit inside the bottom of the case, which is smaller than standard ATX-sized power supplies. If you plan to use a CPU cooler, there’s 120mm of height clearance from the motherboard’s surface.
In Teenage Engineering fashion, the Computer-1 has a switch that I can’t wait to flick — that’ll power your PC on and off. Its front I/O has a headphone jack and a lone USB-C port. It’s clear here that this case is more about looks than utility, so if you want more ports on the front, look elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the Computer-1 sold out during the process of writing this post. It’ll likely go back on sale in the near future, though, and The Verge has asked Teenage Engineering if it can share more specific restocking information.
