Hooters girls’ cheeks are blushing in fury over their skimpy new uniform shorts.
“Oh look, a wedgie!” exclaimed Hooters waitress Kristen Songer, 22, in a trending TikTok of herself modeling the chicken eatery’s new skintight, bikini-cut black bottoms.
“Starting Oct. 4, all Hooters girls should wear the new shorts when working once they arrive to stores,” reads a recent Hooters policy notice obtained exclusively by The Post. “The old shorts should not be worn.”
In the uniform policy update, Hooters also warned that waitresses and bartenders who feel “uncomfortable” about the tiny new trunks mandate are welcome to put in their letters of resignation.
“There’s no longer anything covered by these shorts,” Songer, a University of South Carolina School of Medicine student, said in a video. She wore a pair of gray leggings under the shorts in order to avoid flashing too much skin to her nearly 140,000 TikTok followers. “This is why all the Hooters girls are upset — because this is not what I agreed to wear a year ago when I was hired.”
Songer, who’s gained digital popularity via the TikTok handle @TheFlatHootersGirl , realized viral success in June when she amassed over 19.6 million views for a how-to video on creating the illusion of cleavage in her Hooters uniform by using an Amazon push-up bra and contouring cosmetics on her A-cup chest.
But now, as the almost four-decades-old comfort food chain — renowned for employing busty women to wear low-cut tops while serving customers deep-fried tidbits — shifts to a more derrière-centric dress code , Songer and her co-workers across the nation are blasting the restaurant for rolling out the extremely risqué rump wear.
“This s–t is rated porn,” teased Alabama waitresses Easten Brewer and Katherine Nicole in a TikTok close-captioned “When Hooters gets even shorter shorts.” And Giselle Nguyen, a 20-year-old staffer in Texas, stared into her video camera in disbelief while holding up her pair of the barely there bottoms. “I know it ain’t my new uniform shorts,” she complained in her video. “What’s that supposed to fit?!?”
But the female workers’ outcry against Hooters’ new hot pants is falling on deaf ears after the memo was released.
The company issued each employee new three pairs of the bitty briefs — waitresses were given two sets of shorts in orange and one in black and bartenders were given two pairs in black and one in orange.
The old shorts, although crotch-length, offered Hooters girls a few more inches of coverage around their backsides. The new editions cover most girls’ upper buttocks and only offer what some discontented employees have referred to as a “crotch string,” which resembles a thong-cut panty.
In the uniform policy update, Hooters noted that employees can leave if they don’t like it.
“[We] hope this change would create excitement with all of our current Hooters Girls. We understand that this may be a change that may not suit your personal preference,” the memo reads.
“We would ask that you try them out and, if after two weeks, you are still hesitant to wear the new shorts you may transfer to a non-image based position or resign your position as a Hooters Girl,” the company continued. “If you choose to resign you will be eligible for rehire.”
Hooters did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Despite the mass outrage over the scanty smalls, a handful of the poultry bar’s beauties are fond of their uniform’s new look.
“I actually like the new shorts,” posted a Kentucky Hooters staffer named Amanda . “[They’re] really not that bad,” said waitress Lexius in a separate video.

A TOP young swimmer has been disqualified - after her swimsuit gave her a massive wedgie and showed off her bum.
A poolside referee ruled that Breckynn Willis, 17, was revealing too much of her backside after she won the 100m freestyle in a school contest.
Willis was reportedly ‘heartbroken’ when she was told of her disqualification as she climbed out of the pool.
Media in Anchorage, Alaska, US, claim the referee said the girl’s swimsuit “was so far up I could see butt cheek touching butt cheek.’’
Some other coaches even said the teen intentionally hiked up her swimsuit to make it more revealing.

But swimming coach Lauren Langford said “We have a term for it — it’s called a suit wedgie, and wedgies happen.
“It’s uncomfortable. No one’s going to walk around that way intentionally.”
Officials have now been accused of racism and sexism, as Willis is the only mixed-race girl on the team – and was the only swimmer to be disqualified.
Langford said: “All the girls are wearing suits that are cut the same way.
“And the only girl who gets disqualified is a mixed-race girl with rounder, curvier features.”
School bosses have since confirmed that Willis was wearing an approved official swimsuit — the same one all her teammates wore.
She had also worn it in two previous races earlier in the meet and was not sanctioned in any way.
The swimmer also returned to the pool in the same swimsuit after her disqualification to swim in a team relay and received no penalty.
Langford said Willis was “heartbroken” after the event on Friday night to think people believed she deliberately hiked up the sides of her swimsuit.
“The fact that she’s been told she’s intentionally trying to draw this sexual attention has really crushed her,” Langford said.
Willis’ mother Meagan Kowatch has told media in Alaska that the same judge also criticised her other daughter and Breckynn’s younger sister Dreamer for also revealing too much of her buttocks at an earlier swim meet.
The disqualification was later overturned by the Alaska School Activities Association, the governing body of Alaska high school sports.
The school district, in a written statement, said the decision to single out the girl for a uniform violation was “based solely on how a standard, school-issued uniform happened to fit the shape of her body.”
“We cannot tolerate discrimination of any kind, and certainly not based on body shape,” the district said.

An explicit video of a young girl in a secondary school uniform was circulated online last week.
The three-minute video, which appears to have been taken at a staircase landing, shows her performing various sex acts with an unidentified man.
The girl, whose face can be seen, appears to be a minor. She was wearing the uniform of an all-girls school.
The New Paper understands a police report has been made.
A Ministry of Education (MOE) spokesman told TNP the school had found the girl is not a current student.
She said it would not be appropriate to make further comments as the police may be investigating the matter.
Ms Frances Yeo, a consultant psychologist at Thomson Medical Centre, said she has counselled teens whose intimate pictures were shared online by people they trusted.
"It becomes quite a big thing for a young person," she told TNP. "For girls who had been trusting, betrayal in the form of revenge porn can lead to a lot of anger and trauma."
Those close to the victim are also affected, she added. "Parents can be more traumatised than their children after seeing the material, and may take punitive action. It may lead to depression or suicidal thoughts."
The video surfaced last Monday, the day the Criminal Law Reform Bill was read in Parliament for the first time.
It seeks to amend the Penal Code to tackle emerging crime trends such as revenge porn and child pornography.
If it is passed, revenge porn, where one distributes or threatens to distribute an intimate image, will become a crime.
Offenders can be jailed for up to five years, fined or caned.
Revenge porn culprits are currently prosecuted for offences such as extortion and criminal intimidation.
The Penal Code Review Committee, which produced a report leading to the Bill, previously said: "Technology has not just facilitated the distribution of child pornography but the demand for it as well.
"The current law was not designed for, and is inadequate to address, the serious problems that the rise of the Internet has created for offences such as child pornography."
Lawyer Gloria James-Civetta said the man in the video could also be jailed for up to 10 years for his sexual acts if the girl was under 16, and up to 20 years if she was under 14.
If she is between 16 and 18, he would need to prove in court she had consented to the acts in order to be found not guilty.
Noting the proposed changes are a step in the right direction, she added: "Persons can no longer use social media to get revenge without being dealt with by the law, given that something posted online is difficult to remove and can leave indelible scars on victims," she said.
"The changes will protect victims in abusive relationships and give them legal recourse."
Lawyer James Ow Yong of Kalco Law said anyone caught sharing the video could be prosecuted for transmission of an obscene video.
The MOE spokesman said schools have measures such as sexuality education lessons.
She said: "(Students) are taught to seek help from trusted adults, such as their parents, teachers and school counsellors, should they require additional support or when they suspect their friends are being exposed to harmful influences."
"Parents, too, play a key role in their children's sexuality education," she added.
Asked what can be done by victims of revenge pornography, and how one can avoid becoming a victim, a police spokesman said: "Do not share or let anyone take intimate or compromising photos or videos of you. Once they are leaked, it is almost impossible to remove the content from the Internet."
