as many males do when they sit down, they give a pretty good spread of the legs. i have one pic, that has had some controversy when using it as a profile pic. in some cases i have had to delete it. there is no erection but my legs are spread. i had no sexual feeling when the pic was taken and she was a professional photographer at a nduist resort. what is your comment?

For some people, leg spreading evokes salaciousness; especially is it's a close-up or the legs are spread at more than a 45 degree angle.
Granted, it can be. The trouble is when some people cannot differentiate between an exhibitionist pose and a nudist one.

It just seems normal (comfortable) for a guy, while clothed, to sit with his legs somewhat apart, "junk in the way" or not. This posture carries over to when he is nude.

I've often observed women, sitting in skirt, and keeping their legs together at all times. It looks SO uncomfortable and unnatural. (I actually wonder how they do it!) Men, not having to deal with skirts, therefore having more freedom, are just accustomed to sitting a certain way.

I don't recommend a nude man sit spread eagle, but, if he's nude should he change his normal sitting position and keep his legs together, as if he's trying to hide something? Somehow, that nullifies nudist acceptance of what is normal.

Male or female, I think it's obvious who is sitting normally -- and who is trying to be on display.

While at the nude beach, I've noticed how some people, men and women alike, will sit with their legs spread apart for tanning purposes. This allows the suns' rays to tan areas that aren't normally 'open' to sunlight. To this, I see no problem. And as stated, some are more comfortable sitting with their legs spread apart vice closed. Again, I pay no attention and really doesn't matter way or another. To each their own. You do have to differentiate if the pose is for tanning or 'displaying' purposes though.

When I'm clothed sitting with my legs together is easy. That's not the case when I'm naked. I find that when I'm naked it's more comfortable to spread my legs a bit. My feeling is that as long as you're not being rude about it what difference does it make. You're naked, everyone can see everything already.

I think it may be related to the way we are built. Men have narrow hips and the legs don't go together as easily due to this. I can't cross my legs above the knee it doesn't work for me. I don't know about the pic I never saw it but it could just be the way the viewer perceives it. Like so many things in life it is highly subjective what might offend one person won't offend another.

If it is a really hot day, there can be sweat in the crease between the legs and scrotum. Spreading the legs so the creases air out is one of the great things about being male and naked.

I think the real reason that photos of women are never photographed with their legs spread is because if a man sees a woman (or photo) with legs spread he (may) go into a sexual frenzy but if a woman sees a man (or photo) with legs spread its a "Ho Hum" situation

I can't believe someone in our group would make a comment like the one above. Sounds like something right out of the anti nude movement or the 1800's. I think men and women in a nude situation like a nude beach or resort come to accept each others particular anatomy and do not consider it to be a sexually provocative situation.
