In February 2016, several fake news web sites published articles reporting that sixteen girls had become pregnant after a boy accidentally ejaculated into the water of a pool in which they were swimming:
16 young teenage girls between the age of 13 and 17 years of age have become pregnant after a pool party went terribly wrong, reports the Tallahassee Herald this morning.
A simple weekend pool party turned to tragedy when one of the young men (Tommy Coulter) attending the birthday celebration ejaculated in the pool without warning the house guests, accidentally ending up impregnating half of the girls present at the celebration.
“I’m glad I didn’t have my swimsuit that day,” remembers Daliah Jennings, present during the celebration. “It was a surprise party to celebrate my 15th birthday, let’s just say that a baby in my womb is the kind of present I’m glad I didn’t get” she acknowledges, visibly relieved of not getting pregnant.
Setting aside the obvious physical improbability of this story (and the notion that a boy would “warn” people that he was about to ejaculate into a swimming pool), we know this story is completely false because it originated with a web site that specializes in clickbait fake news articles.
This particular fake news item was originally posted on 26 January 2016 by the fake news site World News Daily Report . It was subsequently picked up by several similar sites, including Huzlers , Nigerian Info and Not Allowed To .
This isn’t the first time that a false rumor concerning a woman getting impregnated by sperm in a swimming pool has been an item of gossip. It’s a common urban legend that nearly adolescent has heard, almost invariably involving a “friend of a friend.”

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Students and parents are in shock after a group of teenagers had sex in a high school bathroom in Fort Myers, Florida, and then posted a video of the act on social media .
A teenage girl had sex with as many as two dozen boys after school Tuesday afternoon at South Fort Myers High School, according to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
Deputies said 25 males were spotted via a hallway camera entering the restroom while the female was inside, the News-Press reported .
“A bunch of football players went into a room with a girl and had sex with her, and a bunch of the football players were suspended,” student Alex Bailey told WBBH . “So we might not have a football team this year.”
“The fact that that could’ve happened is just crazy in my mind,” another student said.
Parent Megan Roldan said the incident proves some parents need to be more aware of what their children are getting up to when school ends.
“And apparently, obviously the parents need to be talking to their kids more,” Roldan told WINK . “And being aware of what their children are doing after school.”
Even though the incident happened after hours, some students are wondering where the administration was when all of this was going on.
“I just don’t see how that could’ve happened because there is so much security in there,” student Erin Bollinger said. “Like the teachers are really on top of all of that.”
Students said the entire thing was filmed and then posted on social media.
“There’s girls that saw the video once and it hurt, it is just so disturbing to them,” student Casey Winn said.
Some parents question how this could have happened at the school.
“Well, they should be walking around the halls and things like that and know where the kids are,” Roldan said.
But others said they trust the school district to handle the situation
“I trust them to take care of it,” one woman said. “I really do think that that is their job and they will take care of it.”
The sheriff’s office said the girl’s mother is not planning to press charges.
A school district official said the students involved have been disciplined.

Think of your cervix as the gatekeeper to your uterus.
Lots of things – like tampons, fingers, penises, sex toys and other germ-carrying items – can get to your cervix, but they aren’t getting past it.
Your cervix, in its 24/7 role of keeping your uterus happy and healthy, won’t let that happen,
Likewise, there are things – like mucus, menstrual blood and the occasional baby – that need to get out of your uterus. Your cervix is the bouncer, deciding what and when things go in and come out of your most vital piece of your reproductive system.
Yet, despite benefiting from its work, day in and day out, chances are you don’t know much about it.
Like, do you even know what it looks like?
Probably not. Well, your cervix is the “neck” of your uterus, positioned at the top of your vaginal canal. Because of its location, seeing your cervix isn’t as easy as squatting over a hand mirror, like you would if you were examining your other lady bits, but it is possible with the right tools.
All you need is a flashlight, a mirror, a retractable speculum and a little courage. If you don’t have a speculum just lying around your bathroom (and if you do, we want to hear that story!) you can buy a starter kit from the Beautiful Cervix Project .
It even comes with a handy map to guide you through your own nethers. Once there you can admire the beauty of your own, unique cervix and even snap some cervix pictures if you’re so inclined.
The Beautiful Cervix Project is a movement to better understand and appreciate the awesomeness of the underrated cervix. O’Nell Starkey started it as a project for midwifery school, with her husband taking snaps of her cervix throughout her cycle.
She quickly discovered, as she’s put it, “Cervices are amazing!” After sharing her images with the world, she found that other women also wanted to see their own cervices (that’s plural for cervix), leading her to start the Beautiful Cervix Project as well as live workshops dedicated to helping women learn about and appreciate their bodies.
“What I have learnt by creating this website is that people from all over the world are curious about their bodies, cervices and the menstrual cycle – everyone from newly menstruating teens, pregnant people, medical students, people with abnormal Paps, to people trying to conceive, artists, educators and the list goes on,” Starkey says.
“Cervical self-exam is about educating and empowering people by contradicting some of the shame and under-education we have about our bodies and menstrual cycles. The Beautiful Cervix Project is dedicated to people working to reclaim their entire bodies as beautiful and lovable. The more we know about ourselves, the more we feel confident to advocate and care for ourselves.”
While each cervix is slightly different (which is why we recommend checking out your own cervix), they all go through similar changes during your monthly cycle, when you’re pregnant, during labour and delivery, and after giving birth.

When your cervix is just hanging out, the visible part of the cervix protrudes into the vaginal canal and is covered by smooth, pink, squamous epithelium, says Dr Kim Thornton, a reproductive endocrinologist at Boston IVF.
In this picture, the cervix is preparing for ovulation by preparing more fluid.
The cervix looks a little bit like a donut. When it’s closed, the hole looks like a dimple, but it opens during ovulation to let sperm in, explains Dr Ronald D Blatt, gynaecologist and chief surgeon and medical director of the Manhattan Center for Vaginal Surgery.
After ovulation, the cervix prepares for menstruation. In this picture the cervix is just doing its thing, waiting for either a pregnancy or shark week to happen. The average cervix measures 3 to 5cm in length and 2 to 3cm in diameter, Dr Thornton says.
When Aunt Flo comes to visit with her monthly gift of gore, you know the blood is coming from somewhere up in there, but this picture shows exactly how it comes out of your cervix. Again, the dimple in the centre – called the os – is in the open position to release menstrual fluids, Dr Blatt says.
This is a picture of the cervix just minutes after the woman had an orgasm during sex (you can even see the sperm pooled around the bottom).
Depending on the size of you and your partner’s anatomy, the penis can bump into the cervix during sex. Some women find the sensation enjoyable and may even orgasm from it, according to a study published in the journal Hormones and Behavior . Others find repeated thrusting into the cervix to be incredibly painful and it can cause bruising or even tearing of your cervical tissue.

A French tourist has admitted impregnating more than 600 women in six African countries within two years. Forty-year old Jean Michel made the revelation on an online news site “Africa24”.
The six countries included Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Togo, Ghana and Guinea.
Why it matters: Many Africans see all westerners as very wealthy people who can change their lives. They easily give in to all their requests and desires and are taken advantage of.
His confession has been translated from French to English by Simon Ateba in Washington, District of Columbia:
“Good morning Africa 24, I have a confession to make about the havoc I have wreaked in six African countries, including Cameroon, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana and Guinea. I am not proud of what I have done. These were unfortunate experiences.
“In France where I hail from, I did not have money. I was very poor until one day I played and won lottery. I won 550 thousand euros. It was the largest sum of money I had received in life.
“I did not know what to do, and a friend suggested we travel to Africa. We obtained all the documents, entry visa, and the rest, and our first stop was Ivory Coast.
“In Abidjan (the capital of Ivory Coast), we rented a furnished apartment. We had money to spend and met Ivorian people and we became friends. They introduced young Ivorian girls to us, and that’s when it all started.
“I began having sex with girls every day. Sometimes, I would sleep with three girls at the same time. It was a marvelous experience.
“I worried less about my health. All I wanted was to have fun. My friends and I were in a night club in the town every day looking for girls.
“One time, I met a girl and gave her money, and she told me to be engaged to her. She was ready to get pregnant for me. I don’t know whether it was the money they liked or the fact that I was from France that attracted them.
“I spent three months in Ivory Coast, spent 60, 000 euros and slept with more than 80 girls.
“After leaving Ivory Coast, I went to Togo where I slept with over 100 girls and spent 40, 000 euros.
“I spent three months in Togo and went to Nigeria.
“Nigeria was where I got more girls. I did not speak English, and it seems Nigerian girls love foreigners.
“I rented a furnished apartment in Nigeria and I was in Lagos for six months. I spent 100,000 euros and slept with 230 girls. Nigeria was the place I appreciated the most. Girls were always available and easy to deceive.
“From Nigeria, I went to Ghana, and then Cameroon and ended what I describe as my sex tour in Guinea.
“I was in those three countries for more than a year and spent over 200, 000 euros. If I told you I slept with more than 700 girls in those three countries, you won’t believe me, but it was unbelievable!
“In all, I slept with more than 1,400 girls in six different African countries. I have all their pictures in my photo album, including the dates we met, their names and phone numbers. I opened a Facebook account only for them.
“Since I returned to France, I have had more than 600 of them who told me they got pregnant for me. Some committed abortion, and I do not know exactly how many finally gave birth.
“Africa is a marvelous continent. Girls are beautiful and very sexy. All they want is a man who has money, and the worst is when he’s white.
“I realised that they love having mixed race babies. I do not know why, but many would do anything to get pregnant for you. 100 euros is plenty of money in Africa.
