It was a quiet Tuesday evening in the small town of Willow Creek. The sun had just dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the neighborhood. Sarah, a freelance graphic designer, was finally putting the finishing touches on a project she had been working on for days. Her cat, Whiskers, lounged lazily on the windowsill, tail flicking as he watched the world outside.

Just as Sarah was about to hit 'send' on her email to her client, the screen of her laptop went black. The soft hum of her Wi-Fi router silenced, and the room was plunged into an eerie quiet.

'Not again,' Sarah groaned, slumping back in her chair. She grabbed her phone and opened the Spectrum app, only to be greeted with a notification: 'Outage in your area. We’re working to restore service as soon as possible.'

She sighed and glanced at the clock. 7:15 PM. Her client was expecting the design by 8:00 PM, and without internet, she was stuck. Sarah grabbed her phone and dialed her best friend, Jake, who lived just a few blocks away.
