When Spanish hip hop was sinking in wannabe U.S styles, Solo los Solo came out of Catalonia with great beats, unique sound and a gifted mc on the mic. While they are not at their best yet, they do show some glimpses of what was to come, whith a wide subject matter ranging from the a-typical ego tripping of Juan Solo to 9-5er issues and nostalgia of an innocence lost the album never sounds tired. The only flaw it's some good ideas not well enough developed (see "Ahora quiero que me folles") and some nice but kinda repetitive in subject matter songs (see "Gramatica Parda"). Anyhow a must have for any Spanish hip hop fan, and a very good entry point to Spanish rap if you are familiar with hip hop sound and want something worth checking.
