Setting up filters: Passed Distance

This is the most important and powerful part of the entire screener.

"Passed Distance in LONG" and "Passed Distance in SHORT" are a unique Power Move feature not found in any other crypto screener.

Imagine: instead of just seeing a chart and indicators, you see the exact percentage and points a coin has already traveled from its real range — and, most importantly, how much further it still has to go.

It's like an X-ray of price movement.

You immediately understand: — whether it's worth entering a trend now, or whether the move has almost run out of steam — where there's still a huge amount of room left (80–95%), and where only 10–20% remains

This filter is what turns ordinary coin browsing into a profitable selection of high-probability trades.

📌 What is it?

Based on the Clean ATR, with paranormal bars removed, the screener calculates:

Passed Distance — how many % and points the price has already traveled in LONG or SHORT
Remaining Distance — how much further the price still has to go

Example from results:

Passed Distance / Remaining Distance LONG (%): 29.74 / 70.26 → the price has just started moving (only 29.74% covered), with huge potential in LONG (70.26% room remaining)

🎯 What is it for?

These two filters are your primary tool for finding high-probability trades with real profit potential. They help you solve three key tasks:

1. Find coins that are just beginning their trending move

When the Passed Distance in LONG or SHORT is less than 20%, the price still has 80%+ of room left.

These are ideal moments for trend entries. You get in right at the start of the impulse, when risk is minimal and profit potential is maximum.

2. Find coins that have already exhausted their move (for counter-trend trading)

If the Passed Distance exceeds 70–80%, the trend has already "run out of steam."

In this case, it makes sense to look for counter-trend opportunities — reversals or corrections. The filter helps you switch from trend trading to counter-trend trading in time, rather than chasing the "last few percent" of a move.

3. Find coins in a consolidation phase

When the Passed Distance in LONG and SHORT are roughly equal (e.g. both around 25–40%), this is a clear accumulation signal.

The coin is "standing still" and the market hasn't yet decided on a direction. These situations often precede strong impulses. The filter helps you catch coins before a breakout.

Thanks to these filters, you no longer enter trades blindly. You clearly see the real remaining room and understand the market phase, rather than relying solely on candles and indicators.

📐 Range type

The filters work on a "from" and "to" basis ("to" by default):

Setting examples:

"to 30%" — shows coins that have covered no more than 30% of their range. → Early stage of movement, maximum room remaining (70–95%). Ideal for trend entries.
"from 70%" — coins that have already covered more than 70% of their range. → Late stage of movement, little room left. Suited for finding counter-trend opportunities.

🧹 How to remove the filter entirely?

Simply select "🧹 Without filter" in the filter settings.

When is "Without filter" useful?

When you want a full market overview and prefer to analyze the remaining room yourself.
For testing new strategies and understanding the overall picture.
For building your own presets — start by seeing everything, then gradually add restrictions.

🔀 Filter condition ("OR" or "AND")

This is one of the most important parameters, as it defines the selection logic.

"OR": A coin appears in results if the condition is met in at least one direction.

Example setting:

LONG: to 30%
SHORT: to 30%
Condition: "OR"

Result: the screener will show a coin if either LONG or SHORT has a large amount of room remaining. A broad but very effective selection.

"AND": A coin appears only if conditions are met in both directions simultaneously.

Example setting:

LONG: to 40%
SHORT: to 40%
Condition: "AND"

Result: the screener will show only coins where both directions still have a large amount of room remaining. Significantly fewer signals, but of very high quality.

Trend search in LONG

Passed Distance in LONG: to 20%
Passed Distance in SHORT: from 80%
Filter condition: "AND"

Result: The screener will show only coins where LONG still has more than 80% room remaining, while the SHORT move has nearly exhausted itself. These are the cleanest and most powerful long ideas with maximum upside potential.

Trend search in SHORT

Passed Distance in LONG: from 80%
Passed Distance in SHORT: to 20%
Filter condition: "AND"

Result: You'll see coins that have already risen significantly (LONG nearly exhausted), but SHORT still has more than 80% of downside room. Ideal candidates for short positions with large downside potential.

Consolidation search

Passed Distance in LONG: to 40%
Passed Distance in SHORT: to 40%
Filter condition: "AND"

Result: The screener will return coins in an accumulation phase. Both directions have roughly equal and substantial room remaining. These are classic "coiled springs" — coins that may soon make a sharp move in either direction.

Universal trend search

Passed Distance in LONG: to 30%
Passed Distance in SHORT: to 30%
Filter condition: "OR"

Result: The broadest and most practical selection. The screener will show all coins where at least one direction has more than 70% of room remaining. Great for daily screening and finding fresh moves.

Counter-trend

Passed Distance in LONG: from 80%
Passed Distance in SHORT: from 80%
Filter condition: "OR"

Result: The screener will find coins where at least one direction is nearly fully exhausted (more than 80% covered). Such instruments are often ready for a reversal or correction. A solid filter for counter-trend strategies.

Without filter (maximum selection)

Passed Distance in LONG: Without filter
Passed Distance in SHORT: Without filter
Condition: any

Result: The screener will show all coins with no restrictions on Passed Distance.
