I’m ok not forgiving my mother for allowing my step father to sexually abuse my sisters and I. I think she is as much at fault as him for ignoring it. When my older sister spoke up at 14 years old, she was sent away. I put up with it for years in the hope he’d leave my younger sister alone. I was heartbroken when I found out he was abusing her too. When I finally spoke up, she told me to apologise to him for causing a scene. He died young - a heart attack, I felt guilty about not grieving. My 2 sisters are now addicts, I feel sad for them but cannot help them, I’ve tried. Fuck shitty people who abuse or turn a blind eye.

My husband kept me awake for 10 years. I begged him to see a doctor, but he wouldn’t. I set up my own bedroom (in my office initially) and was amazed at the difference I felt health wise from the first night. He finally got a CPAP, but the damage is done to his heart. It is not repairable. Please have him seek help, this situation almost ruined our marriage & has lasting effects on his life.

Layer fresh mozzarella (the kind sold in liquid), ripe tomato slices and basil leaves. Season with salt & pepper and drizzle with a little olive oil. It’s amazing!
