The Baltimore Ravens have been favored four times in their history at the Pittsburgh Steelers and are -4.5 at Caesars Sportsbook for Sunday's game at Heinz Field, but there's a big difference this time: The Ravens had never been favored in Steel Town when Ben Roethlisberger was going to start under center, and Big Ben will Sunday. The Steelers will most likely be without Defensive Player of the Year candidate TJ Watt. Click here for model picks.
Pittsburgh is 0-4 straight up and 0-1-3 against the spread as a home underdog against Baltimore – all four games had a spread of Ravens -3 and the past three ended in three-point Ravens victories, most recently in 2019. The Pittsburgh quarterbacks in those four games were: Kent Graham, current Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich (2012), way-past-his-prime Michael Vick (2015) and current backup Mason Rudolph (2019). No wonder the Ravens were favored and won all four.
There will be a bit of coaching history here as well between the Ravens' John Harbaugh and Steelers' Mike Tomlin, two of the NFL's longest-tenured coaches. It's the 30th meeting, including playoffs, between them, only the third duo to reach 30. George Halas and Curly Lambeau matched up 49 times and Steve Owen and Lambeau 31. All three of those guys are in the Hall of Fame as likely will be Harbaugh and Tomlin down the line. Tomlin leads 15-14. Neither coach has won more than four in a row.
Pittsburgh has never finished with a losing record under Tomlin but that's looking very possible at 5-5-1 and with games at Minnesota, vs. Tennessee, at Kansas City, vs. Cleveland and at Baltimore still remaining. The Steelers sit 12th in the AFC and are +550 long shots to make the playoffs and -900 to miss.
Watt landed in COVID protocols earlier this week and it's almost unprecedented in the NFL for a guy to land on that list and play in the same week. An obvious crushing loss as Watt has 12.5 sacks, four passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in nine games. Fellow linebacker Robert Spillane also landed on the COVID list.
The last thing Pittsburgh needs is losses on defense as it has allowed at least 40 points in in back-to-back games for the first time since 1989. Prior to Week 11, the Steelers had gone 40 straight games without even allowing 30, the longest such streak since the 1992-95 Browns.
If Baltimore wins out, it would be the AFC's No. 1 seed and is a +200 favorite to earn it and the lone first-round bye. The Ravens should get back defensive end Calais Campbell from concussion protocol. He leads the team's defensive linemen in tackles (36) and quarterback hits (nine).

For the first time this season, the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens (8-3) and Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5-1) will clash on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh will be at 4:25 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Ravens vs. Steelers odds and lines , and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets .
The Ravens have taken over the top spot in the AFC after winning their last two games, albeit narrowly over the Bears and Browns. The offense has gone cold in recent weeks, scoring more than 17 points just once in their last five games and just 42 total points in their last three.
The Steelers have lost their last two games and tied the Lions Nov. 14, going winless since their last victory in Week 9. They rank in the bottom half of the NFL in total offense and defense, coming into this week at No. 22 in yards and 25th in yards allowed.
It’s been a streaky season for Pittsburgh, losing three straight from Week 2-4 then winning four in a row and now dropping their last two.

The Steelers haven’t been impressive at all this season, with the exception of their Week 1 win over the Bills. The Ravens have had their troubles, too, barely beating the Browns and Bears.
But so long as QB Lamar Jackson doesn’t throw four interceptions again, this should be a fairly comfortable win for Baltimore on the road.
Despite narrowly beating the Browns and only edging the Bears by three points, the Ravens managed to cover the spread in each of their last two games. They’re now 5-6 ATS this season, which is still hardly impressive.
Even with all their injury concerns, the Ravens are still the better team and should be able to beat the Steelers on the road by at least five or six points. Bet the RAVENS -4.5 (-108) to cover.
Neither of these teams is moving the ball particularly well on offense right now, with the Ravens in particular dealing with turnovers and a lack of yards through the air.
Their defense is stepping up with just 45 points allowed in their last three games, but I don’t have confidence in either team to put up points in bunches.
Bet the UNDER 44.5 (-115) , which is 4-1 in Ravens road games.

The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in one of the oldest rivalry games in the NFL on Sunday. It’s time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Ravens-Steelers prediction and pick.
This AFC North matchup comes at an incredibly important time. Baltimore is coming off of a huge win against the Cleveland Browns, a victory that extended their lead in the division by a game. Another win against a divisional opponent would give the Ravens some cushion in one of the best divisions in football. The Steelers, on the other hand, need a win here just to remain in playoff contention. Pittsburgh has struggled in multiple areas throughout the season, and that’s reflected in their 5-5-1 record. Head coach Mike Tomlin’s squad can’t afford to lose this contest, so expect a highly competitive matchup.
For more insight on the Ravens-Steelers matchup in Week 13, listen below:
Here are the Ravens-Steelers odds, courtesy of FanDuel.
To be frank, Pittsburgh’s offense is one of the most disappointing units in the NFL. Their troubles start along the offensive line, where they struggle to protect quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and to open up running lanes. The Ravens have been fantastic at getting to opposing signal-callers recently, as Baltimore is averaging over three sacks per game in their last three contests. To make things even better, Baltimore has been one of the best run defenses in the NFL. They allow a mere 84 yards per game to opposing ground attacks, an insane number that indicates a level of play more than good enough to stop the Steelers. Pittsburgh should have a tough time getting the offense going here.
While their overall record is decent, the Steelers have been one of the worst teams in the NFL when it comes to covering the spread. The Steelers are 4-7 ATS on the year, but that number gets even worse when looking at this matchup. Pittsburgh has been surprisingly poor at covering when they play at Heinz Field, as they’re a horrific 1-5 ATS on their home turf. The Steelers are also 1-3 against the spread when they’re coming off of a loss like they are here.
Injuries will also play a factor here. Roethlisberger will likely be questionable for this contest, and superstar edge rusher TJ Watt should be on the COVID list on Sunday. Steelers’ starting cornerback Joe Haden is also unlikely to play here. The last time that Pittsburgh played this thin on defense, they allowed 41 points to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Ravens have struggled mightily on offense for the better part of the last month. In their last three contests, Baltimore’s offense has only managed to combine for a measly 42 points. That’s including a ten-point performance against the Miami Dolphins in which the Ravens were embarrassed on national television and a four-interception game from Lamar Jackson that came against Cleveland. In that same game, the Browns only allowed 16 points. This offense is clearly having some trouble moving the ball, and now they face a tough Pittsburgh unit.
The Ravens entered the season with a laundry list of injuries, and that’s continued throughout the season. Baltimore’s injury report is a mile long this week, and it includes several key players. Starting offensive linemen Bradley Bozeman and Patrick Mekhari have both missed practices this week, along with cornerbacks Tavon Young and Anthony Averett. There’s no chance that the Ravens are fully healthy here.
This is a fairly simple pick. Pittsburgh just flat out hasn’t been good lately, and now they face a Baltimore team that’s coming off of a huge win on national television. Take the more talented team in the Ravens and don’t look back.
