In a small town, Paul (Paul Schneider) and Tip (Shea Whigham) are best friends, and Paul is the great seducer, having shagged twenty-six girls in the town. When Tip's sister Noel (Zooey Deschanel) and Paul date and fall in love for each other, the friendship of Tip and Paul is shaken. After a short trip of Noel to a house nearby a lake with her girlfriends, the relationship of Paul and Noel changes. "All the Real Girls" is a very real and simple love story. The situations in this low-budget movie are very convincing, and the cast is really good. Zooey Deschanel is a really a beautiful woman, has a stunning performance and shows a great chemistry with Paul Schneider. The participation of Patricia Clarkson in a support role is excellent as usual. The open end fits adequately to this single and awarded romance. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): "Prova de Amor" ("Proof of Love")

Paul (Paul Schneider) is living it up as a small-town Casanova, happily hopping from one one-night-stand to the next. When Noel (Zooey Deschanel) -- the virginal younger sister of his best friend, Tip (Shea Whigham) -- returns home, grown up and gorgeous, Paul falls for her. But because of his sordid past, Tip is suspicious of his pal's intentions. To make his relationship with Noel work, Paul will have to prove to his family and friends that he can be a man worthy of her love.

A man pursues his friend's sister, a match frowned upon because of his promiscuous past.
Paul Schneider delivers a sensitive portrayal of Paul, and his romantic scenes with Zooey Deschanel are quite charming. What I liked about the film was how relateable that relationship was.
Typical of indie films, All the Real Girls is filled with long pauses and understated scenes that fail to state much. I also have several plot questions. I have no idea why Noel chooses the person she chooses in the third act, and because we never see Paul being a rake and he never goes back to his old behavior, it's hard to believe all the rumors about his character flaws.
Overall, I think I like this film more than it deserves mainly because the two leads seemed like people I know or could know.

What the hell David Gordon Green? You make the highness and the sitter instead of making more films like this?? This is actually a raw powerhouse film that shows how amazing zooey descahnel and Paul schnieder are. The story is simplistic but the acting and the direction of the film are what makes a contemporary classic. Huge fan of this film!

The greatest movie on young love through its stages. It's so honest it will likely make you cry. David Gordon Green and DP Tim Orr give the southern-town setting a GORGEOUS look, very much influenced by Malick. The best, most accurate, and beautiful 90-minutes spent with unforgettable characters, two of them creating the greatest love story of the 00's.
