Sexy Euro girls as usual, but poor action
Behind the pointless title "Fever" lies a pointless Adult movie. Stylish director Antonio Adamo made many quality features for Private Media, but flunked out with this one. A decade or two ago the venerable Euro label specialized in action movies built around the XXX content, but Adamo's action scenes and plotting are quite poor. With a very tired framing device of having the hero's buddy Franco Roccaforte hanging out at a cafe to be sounding board and helper (looks like these scenes were all shot back-to-back in a single set-up to be doled out piecemeal in the final print), we witness hero Alberto Rey, before he decamped to Chatsworth from Private's home base in Spain, working hard to free his girlfriend Barby (not Lanny but an Anna Polina-lookalike instead) from the clutches of evil white slaver/drug kingpin Toni Ribas, also later to jump ship and become a Chatsworth regular. The sex scenes are flat, even if the girls performing in them are top- notch. Certainly Mandy Bright with lovely blonde curly hair does a great job at providing anal sex for the fans, while many familiar and not-so- famous Euro gals keep the sexual content up to snuff. Lack of derring-do by Alberto and a ridiculously rushed and phony climax to tie up the story are huge faults. And Adamo's trademark "Here's looking at you kid" gimmick of having the girls always staring into the camera lens is tough to take for the umpteenth time.

A Private Affair ( French : Une affaire privée ) is a 2002 French crime mystery thriller film written and directed by Guillaume Nicloux . The film premiered at the Festival du Film Policier de Cognac on 13 April 2002 and was released theatrically in France on 30 April 2002.

François Manéri is a private detective in charge of the whereabouts of a young missing woman, Rachel Siprien. Six months have passed since the disappearance. At the request of the mother of the latter, François took over the business. The multifaceted personality of the young woman draws a complex web between her best friend, Clarisse, her ex-boyfriend, her stepfather, neighbors and those who knew her from near and far.

The 2002 UK DVD runs 132 minutes and was rated R18 by the BBFC (meaning it could only be sold in licensed sex shops), though it received 9 secs of cuts to remove a shot of a woman being suffocated during a sex scene. In 2005 an 18 rated version was released, originally running 91 minutes, though this was cut by a further 1 min 53 secs by the BBFC to completely remove clear footage of cunnilingus.

This porno is very overrated. Private announced this as one of the most expensive pornos ever. They hyped it up like it was something extraordinary. But the fact is that it isn't even average. This movie was made short after Ridley Scott's Gladiator became a huge hit. The biggest miss with this movie is that it is supposed to be serious. A porn "remake" of a mainstream film is never good if it tries to be serious. This movie should have been made with humor and wild sex in mind. Now, when the porn actors and actresses try to be serious without any acting skills it just ends up being unbearable. The only thing that they managed to get right in this movie was getting a bunch of hot chicks for the sex scenes. But the director Antonio Adamo really messed up the sex scenes. Every sex scene was shot with bright lights on the performers. This gave a really bad look to the overall scene. The audio for the sex scenes are terrible as well. Also, the director didn't get the best angles to show these hot ladies off in the best way. Worst of all was that the ladies didn't seem that into the sex in any of the 6 scenes in this movie. I give this movie a 4 out of 10 because it had the beautiful women, it also had many different kind of sex scenes, including two orgies and a foursome and it also had double penetration in 3 of the 6 scenes. But not even double penetration can save everything. If someone wants to see a good porn "remake" of a mainstream film I suggest Sex Angels, which spoofs Charlie's Angels in a very good way. In that film Private hit the mark perfectly. The film is done with humor and contains mostly of hot sex scenes and very little story. That is also one of the few pornos with a story were every girl gets double penetrated.
