A woman has opened up about what it’s like to be married to a man who is a pornstar.
While many people couldn’t handle even the idea of their partner sleeping with another person, Katy Bampton has revealed it doesn’t bother her that her husband sleeps with a different woman twice a week.
In February, 29-year-old Bampton married adult entertainer Robbie Oz, but said in an Instagram video for Hashtag Our Stories that she’ll sometimes “forget” that their marriage is an unusual one.
She said: “I forget sometimes that this is our life and we live this way every day … and that I’m actually married to a porn star.”

But, it wasn’t always like that, as she said it took some adjusting after initially judging Oz’s career choice before their first date.
She explained: “The first time I saw Rob was on Instagram. I judged him for being a sex worker. I saw his page and I thought, ‘This is not something I’m interested in.
“I was judging, because I thought, ‘Oh, he’s been with a lot of girls,’ and I didn’t want to put myself into that scenario.”
Bampton said she came around and realised it was mainly her “conditioning from society” that was getting in the way.
When they became a couple, Oz said the sex he has at work and at home are two different thing.
Oz explained: “For me, sex stopped becoming so much about the physical, it’s actually about the energetic exchange. That’s something that we have really strongly between us.”
He said he gets tested for STIs every two weeks and wears a condom 90 per cent of the time while working.
Bampton admitted some of her friends and family are baffled by their situation.
She said: “Some don’t really understand. Other, don't understand but don’t judge.”
She continued: “I have no need to be jealous that he’s going to go off with another girl. I know where Rob is every day of the week, as in the job he does, whereas some don’t.”

Proof that porn does not, in fact, kill love.
Some people (particularly those behind the recent conservative campaign , "Porn Kills Love") see watching porn and being in love as total contradictions — that explicit content compromises our ability to connect meaningfully with other people. In reality, though, there's no lack of love in the community of adult performers, producers, and directors. Here, four married couples who work in the porn industry share the stories of their love.
Anikka Albrite, 26, and Mick Blue, 39. Both are porn actors and directors.
"We first met on a plane flying to San Francisco for work. We talked to each other a little bit, but Mick had a girlfriend at the time. A few months later, we worked with each other for the first time, and the sex was great and we talked about a lot of our similar interests, but it never went further than that between us. It wasn't until almost a year later when we ran into each other on the convention floor at AVN 2013, and Mick kissed me as soon as he saw me. The sparks flew, and he told me he was single again. Ever since that day, we've been inseparable.
"Marriage means to be there for each other in good and bad times. It means to be each other's best friend and share every part of our lives together. It means to respect each other in everything. We make every decision together, and we are also very monogamous in our private sex life.
"Porn doesn't determine how it affects someone; it is the individual watching porn that determines how it affects them. Porn gives people the possibility to relieve themselves on their own and get out their aggressions through masturbation, instead of going out and cheating on their partners with another person, or harming another person out of pent-up aggression. Being a married couple in the porn industry, we personally have benefited from porn, because we are completely open and honest and transparent with each other. We use work as a way to act out our fantasies, but at home, we love being with just each other, and we don't let work mix with our personal lives." —Anikka
Siouxsie Q James, 30, and Jesse James, 31. Siouxsie is a porn actress, sex worker, and host of "The WhoreCast" podcast.
"We met in a totally boring, super-regular way: through friends. Though I will say that the first time we had sex was a terrible threesome at Neil Gaiman's bachelor party.
"Our wedding was on an organic farm on the coast of Northern California. We roasted a pig, exchanged vows in a redwood grove, and after the ceremony, I jumped into the river with my wedding dress on. I didn't put a lot of pressure on the day to be the "happiest day of my life," but it actually turned out to be just that! Jesse's family isn't involved in our lives, because they disagree with the advocacy work that we do for the rights of sex workers, so the gathering was mostly made up of chosen family, fellow performers, and fierce allies. It was an incredible feeling — being surrounded by a fabulous tribe of folks who support our love and our mission so completely.
"In my experience, porn has, in fact, helped me find the love(s) of my life. I'm polyamorous, and all three of my partners are involved in the adult industry." —Siouxsie
Kirsten Price, 33, and Keiran Lee, 31. Keiran is an erotic model, and Kirsten is a porn actress and full-time mom.
"The company I work for [MindGeek] owns an online part of Wicked Pictures, and Kirsten was contracted by Wicked. I met her when I was doing interviews at the AVN Awards. We were very flirtatious with each other — met for lunch, then went on a few formal dates. I'm from England, and I left to go home and visit for a while. After just a month, Kirsten bought a plane ticket and flew out to meet me. Two months into us dating, I was in a bad accident — I was hospitalized for a while with a broken jaw and other injuries — and she never left my side. I knew then that she was The One, and we've been together for five years now.
I once expressed my desire to never get married; she'd been pretty downhearted since then. I took her to Paris, and one night, we visited a five-star restaurant, and the waiter brings out Kirsten's entree on an enormous silver platter with an engagement ring inside. I proposed right then. We booked an old church in England for the wedding, but then Kirsten got pregnant and we pushed the wedding back. Unfortunately she suffered a miscarriage soon after, and we decided to forgo pomp and circumstance, and go get married in Las Vegas. We tied the knot at the Paris Hotel — it was a little tacky but wonderful, and all of our friends were there. We got pregnant again after the wedding and now have a 1-year-old son. We're waiting until he's 3 or 4 to have another ceremony so he can walk his mom down the aisle.
People are always posting things on Instagram and Twitter like, "How can you be married and be in the porn industry?" All I can say is that there's a distinct separation. When I go to work, I'm Keiran Lee; I'm there to perform. I'm there to work. When I come home, I'm totally different. I'm a family man, a dad, a romantic at heart, and the same goes for Kirsten." —Keiran
Oriana Small, 34, and Dave Naz, 46. Oriana is a writer and former porn actress, and Dave is a photographer.
"We met when I modeled for Dave for Taboo Magazine . He shot me in a girl/girl layout and [we] began dating a few months later. We got married at the Beverly Hills City Hall, by a very stern female judge who gave us a lecture about 'taking marriage seriously.' We were laughing and crying the entire time, in front of as many friends and family that we could pack into the tiny room. It was short and exhilarating, full of joy.
"When Dave and I got married, we became a family. All the insecurity of dating went away and we became more confident as a couple.
"People like that love to put blame on the sex industry and shame us because it must be the easiest way to demonize the freedom there is in living your life, without judgment. I love watching porn and I know that it's made me more open-minded and accepting of all people and their bodies. I see how those who hate it manipulate people who are unhappy into believing that porn has been the cause of all their problems. It's sad and wrong to make anyone feel like there's something abnormal and screwed-up about themselves." —Oriana

He wasn't fired because of his performance -- but his wife's.
Former Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Town Manager Scott Janke appeared on "The Early Show" Friday to discuss why he was canned from his job . And the reason -- his porn star wife Anabela Janke -- was at his side on the show.
Scott, who married Anabela in October, was fired at an emergency meeting Tuesday after the mayor and council members learned the nature of her employment. Scott, the town manager for 15 months, was unanimously voted out, terminated with six months pay.
The firing came after Anabela, who goes by the stage name Jazella Moore, was recognized by an editor of an online adult entertainment publication after a photo of the couple on the Fourth of July parade was published in the local paper.
Fort Myers Beach Mayor Larry Kiker said, "Our issue is the situation town was put in in terms of how effective we can govern and whether or not it this was going to serve as a distraction for that, and we felt like it would."
On "The Early Show" Anabela said she didn't think her husband was being treated fairly.
"When this came out, he talked to the mayor and said, 'I'm willing to resign.' And then everything just..." She then trailed off.
Scott added, "When this story began to break, I was actually called by a local reporter, who also called the mayor about a day before he was going to actually print these articles. And the mayor and I chatted on the phone. Because of my ethics, I said, 'I'm willing to resign with compensation if the town council thinks it will help the community not be so distracted." '
Scott said he and his wife were trying to keep Anabel's employment under wraps after they were married.
"We talked about it, kept our heads down a little bit," Scott said, referring to the outing this week, "and hoped it would never happen, I guess."
Scott said he was concerned about the town being hurt, but more importantly, his family.
"Paramount was our personal life being hurt. We have children and family members all over the country. So we were concerned about those kinds of things mostly."
So far, however, the couple's been supported, receiving hundreds of e-mails from people saying the town shouldn't have fired him.
"Early Show" co-anchor Harry Smith said he doesn't think it will be long before he's offered a job.
Scott said, "Well that would be nice, you got something?"

Eight months before he's supposed to retire from the Navy , Chief Special Warfare Officer Joseph John "Jay" Schmidt III's retirement pension is in jeopardy. Schmidt, who has appeared in at least 29 adult films, is being investigated for possibly violating rules that require a commander's approval before engaging in outside work, according to this story.
The 42-year-old father and valor medal recipient, who has served 23 years in the Navy and volunteers his time to help special needs kids, has been married to the same woman for 13 years.
After many years of war, any couple that has managed to navigate the high operational tempo and other stressors that accompany high risk, frequently deployed MOS like the Navy SEALs without being torn apart surely has some wisdom to share. Add to that the tension no doubt caused by knowing that your spouse is having sex -- publicly -- with other people, and it seems like there is much stacked against this couple.
"You know, it's been as difficult as people probably would guess," said Schmidt's wife, who goes by the stage name 'Jewel Jade.'
"We've had jealousy and lots of fighting about it. Really, it took Jay actually being on set and in a film himself to understand that I'm just doing a job,' Jade said.
Jade said that she and Schmidt have been able to stay together for the same reasons as couples in other enduring marriages.
"Quite honestly, a lot of our friends are divorced," she said. "But we're still married, even with all the stress, even with my crazy occupation and his crazy occupation. I think it's because of our communication and because we have a lot in common. I mean, Who is going to be a Navy SEAL? Are they going to be completely normal? No."
Jade said she worked in the adult entertainment industry before she and Schmidt were married. She left the industry when they got serious and went back to school, earning a nursing degree. Schmidt's job moved them from San Diego to Virginia Beach. At the height of the real estate rush, they attended a seminar to learn how to make money in real estate. Jade decided to get a real estate license, too. The couple began buying properties just before the housing market crashed in 2008.
"We had about $10,000 a month just in mortgages due," she said. The 2008 housing market crash destroyed their real estate plans. To make matters worse, they got stuck with a deadbeat renter in one of the homes who wouldn't pay rent and trashed the house. When they took the renter to court, the court wouldn't let them evict her. With more funds going out than coming it, they were hemorrhaging money.
"We used credit cards to try and get by and just got more and more in the hole," she said.
Like many military couples, Jade and Schmidt worried that their mounting debt would cause him to lose his security clearance. If that happened he would lose his job.
"I was still new to Virginia Beach and didn't have a real estate client base yet," Jade said. "I had my nursing degree, but we owed so much money, more than I could earn nursing. We were scared to go to his command and tell them what was going on because we didn't want him to lose his security clearance."
Schmidt was making $60,000 a year at the time, nowhere near enough for the couple to pay off their debts. Jade said she knew from past experience that she could make a lot of money fast by appearing in adult films.
"And it helped," she said. The money she earned gave the couple the financial breathing room they needed, but they still had the mortgages and credit card debt to pay.
"Eventually we did file bankruptcy and his command was actually really understanding," she said. "I wish we'd gone to them sooner, but we didn't know how to they would respond."
By the time they filed bankruptcy Schmidt and Jade owed over a million dollars and the bankruptcy meant they lost all of their property. On top of that, Schmidt was still dealing with PTSD from an Iraq deployment.

In the midst of everything, Jade learned that she was pregnant and that her mother had a cancerous brain tumor and just six months to live. Jade had already lost her father to cancer several years earlier and was determined to use her nursing degree to take care of her mother. Schmidt was able to get transferred back to San Diego and Jade– who also had an infant to care for–became the full-time nurse for her mother.
"Bankruptcy, a new baby, a dying mother who needed 24/7 care ... I did the best I could," Jade said.
The couple was terrified of falling back into financial trouble, so after her mother died, Jade tried to find a normal job that would allow her to contribute to the family finances. She soon discovered that it's nearly impossible for someone who has worked in porn to slip back into regular life. Each time she tried to work a normal job, she was recognized by a fan.
"My tattoos are recognizable, my voice is recognizable," she said. "Everything about me is recognizable. I've done over 300 films. I can't just get a normal job anymore. I'm trapped. That's the thing people don't realize before they get into this industry."
Jade got back into adult entertainment and, rather than pay a male actor to appear with her on her website and in her own films, she recruited Schmidt to join her. H
