PoolDose — Support

PoolDose turns test-strip readings into dose steps for pools and hot tubs. Each dose shows the product, strength and amount in your units. Each reading has a status word, and water balance is explained in words.

PoolDose supports chlorine, bromine, biguanide (Baquacil) and salt systems, at any volume, including small spas.

Enter readings and see the dose

Under Your test readings, tap the reading you measured, enter its value and tap Done. Read the result under What to add now.

The status words help you read each measurement. If measurements needed for water balance are missing, the app names them.

Open Water setup to check the water volume and sanitizer. Change, beside the water name, opens your list of bodies of water.

Save and export tests

Tap Log this test to save your readings and computed doses. Open the History link below it to view your saved tests.

In History, Export .json exports your records. Export is always free. Logging appends to the local test history.

To move records to another device, export the file, transfer it to the destination you choose, then use History > Import in PoolDose on the other device. Import is included in the one-time purchase and expects a PoolDose .json export.

Import presents Replace all data? before replacing the current data. Read that confirmation before choosing Replace.

Free use and the one-time purchase

Today's dose is always free. The one-time purchase adds full history and trends, every body of water and import of old logs. There is no subscription or PoolDose account.

The purchase offer opens after your first Log this test while locked. You can close it with Close and continue using today's dose.

You can also open the offer through Settings > Unlock history. Tapping Import while locked opens the offer.

Restore or retry a purchase

Use Restore purchase in Settings or on the purchase offer. Apple handles purchases and restoration through StoreKit.

Restoring a purchase restores access to the unlocked features. Your local test history is separate; use your exported file to transfer it.

If the product cannot load, the app says:

Purchase isn't available right now. Please try again later.

Retry and Restore purchase remain available. The app does not substitute a fixed price when Apple cannot provide the product.

Privacy

Your readings and history are stored only on your device. PoolDose does not copy them to iCloud, makes no network requests of its own, requests no permissions and contains no third-party SDK. Apple handles StoreKit transactions. An export goes to the destination you choose.
