Diners can try classic dishes like a Coq a Vin Rouge, which is chicken in a red wine sauce served with bacon, carrots, mushrooms and onions. If guests want a true taste of France, they can choose with the iconic duck a l'orange, served in a grand mariner sauce. Service was non existent.. we ended up walking out as even after being seated for 15 minutes, still no offer for drinks, etc… very short staffed!!!
The owner/waiter was dismissive and rude. I will never go back.
This is a Chicago must for me... I live in NY and only visit once a year!! Each time I have brought someone new, they have agreed that this place is simply fabulous.
This is my go to spot with my fiancée and out of town guests.
A perfect evening! My date enjoyed the beet salad while I had the pate. Then she tried the duck while I enjoyed the trout. For dessert we split ice cream & chocolate mousse! Yum !!!

This is one of the city’s hidden gems. The food is repeatedly outstanding, and the service nicely paced. Parking is available in the adjacent garage directly east of the building.
Authentic French food. We love Le Petit Paris and schedule our dinner whenever we get to visit Chicago. Atlanta has great food, but a trip to Le Petit Paris is a MUST when we are in town.

We had another wonderful time dining at Le Petite Paris! This time we were able to take our son and daughter-in-law traveling from Boston to experience a true French meal in the heart of downtown Chicago! The food is always fantastic and you truly cannot beat their wine prices. Added Bonus! :-)
This is fine dining in a beautiful oasis in the flurry and bluster of lovely Chicago. While I can not recommend it more, I just want to come again and want to be able to get a reservation.

Le Petit Paris is the absolute hidden jewel in Chicago dining. I have had many incredible dinners with family and friends and the reviews from one and all are stellar. The food is outstanding and The owner and operator Alain Sutbon is the most charming and hardworking man in town. His attention to detail and service have impressed everyone we invite to dine at Le Petit Paris. His beautiful French accent adds to the old world feel and for a few hours you are in Paris!

Hidden in a condo building lobby it is a favorite to those of us who live in the neighborhood, but should be explored by everyone looking for exceptional food in a quiet atmosphere perfect for a conversation over an excellent meal.

I am certain if you try it once you will be hooked!!

A neighborhood gem. Owner, chef, maître d, bartender, waiter and bus boy are all one in the same and with greater efficiency that if it were six different people. Friendly, cozy atmosphere. Like a bistro in Paris. Intimate dining experience. The Bouef Bourguignon was outstanding and the fish moist and delicate. Try the Pate Maison and onion soup. And where in downtown Chicago can you get a glass of wine for $8.00?
We had a wonderful meal! I had delicious escargot, and my wife had a delightful french onion soup. For the main course, I had Coq au vin which was so tender and flavorful, and my wife had pomme frites and steak that was also very good. We had creme brulee for dessert, but we should have had the chocolate mousse. The mousse looked better at a table near us. The owner took care of us personally.
I love this restaurant! It feels like Paris in Chicago. Totally authentic! The owner is sweet, kind, and funny. He does 99% of all the serving for the whole restaurant. The food is beyond fantastic. I love the escargot and chocolate mousse but really you can’t go wrong with whatever you order. And… the wine is delicious and reasonably priced. We have been there twice and will definitely go back!

A few things you should know: 1) Food was very good, 2) It’s a very small but quaint place located inside of a condo building lobby (no outside sign), and 3) The service was bizarre. I think the one gentleman was the waiter, host, busboy, and chef. He was also a bit odd. Never said “goodbye, thank you” and just presented the check and said “sign here” with no opportunity to tip, which I would have. Very strange. Overall experience - will never go back.

A great find for a very traditional French cuisine restaurant. There was only a choice of 3 red and 3 white wines but more than adequate for the dishes. Service was prompt and we enjoyed the subtle humour of our waiter. Overall it was a perfect experience for us.
